At around 7:00 p.m. on November 24, 2006, as Mr. Wang Yancai, a tricycle driver in Gongzhuling City, was parking his tricycle, he was taken into custody by police arresting Falun Gong practitioners. He was taken to the Dongsan Police Station in Gongzhuling City and was held in custody with handcuffs on.

On the morning of November 25, the officers brutally beat and kicked Mr. Wang during their interrogation. Mr. Wang was injured in the head and face. His face was completely covered with blood. When they took a photo of him against his will, Officer Ding first wiped the blood off Mr. Wang's face. When he was taken to the detention center in the afternoon, officers Yu Bo (male) and Yang Dashuai (male) viciously beat him again. Mr. Wang passed out for over five hours. Four detention center guards carried him into a cell. Wang Lijun (male), a guard at the detention center, twice ordered two inmates to burn Mr. Wang Yancai's fingers with a cigarette lighter to see if he was still alive. Mr. Wang did not respond even though his fingers were burned until they were charcoal black. Now Mr. Wang can hardly move. Other complications have developed. However, the detention center authorities have denied his family any visits, nor have they sent Mr. Wang to a physician for treatment.

Mr. Yu Huaicai is a practitioner from Hulan District in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. He had been held in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp. On January 16, 2007, Mr. Yu was transferred to the Changlinzi Health Institute when he did not feel well. On February 25, he was transferred to the No. 2 Hospital of Harbin Medical University and diagnosed with pancreatitis and gastritis among other problems. The officials at Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp subsequently demanded money from Mr. Yu's family. They threatened that if his family did not make the payment, they would force-feed Mr. Yu. Mr. Yu's family turned in 1,000 yuan in cash. His wife has been forced to leave town to avoid harassment and persecution. Their child has to be taken care of by relatives.

On February 28, 2007, the court and Procuratorate of the Economics and Technology Development District Court in Changchun City have returned practitioner Mr. Wang Yuejian's case to the district's police department. However, the city's Political and Judiciary Committee, the State Security Division of the city's police department, and the city's 610 Office have internally reached the decision that Mr. Wang be sent to a forced labor camp. Mr. Wang Yuejian has been unlawfully held in custody for almost a year.

On the evening of February 24, 2007, Mr. Liu Heyu, a practitioner from Junan County in Linyi City, was taken into custody. Mr. Liu's family went to sleep early as they were building a house during the day. At around 9:00 p.m., officials from the Junan County 610 Office and officers from Chengnan Police Station arrived at Dabunan Village. Village cadres led the officers to knock on Mr. Liu's door. At 9:40 p.m., they forced their way in after the door was answered. The officers found issues of "Minghui Weekly" that had accumulated through the years, the Fa Lectures Master gave in various places, one copy of "Zhuan Falun," and a few cards.

Mr. Liu Yuhe was taken away by officers from Chengnan Police Station that evening. It's not clear where he is being held. The officers asked Mr. Liu's wife to send clothes, but they did not allow her to visit her husband.

Mr. Liu Hexin, in his 40s, is a practitioner from Tangshan City. He works at the instrumentation automation repair station of an electronics company. He is stationed at the Dongkuang Stainless Steel Factory. On February 14, 2007, he was followed and arrested by officers from the Hebei Road Police Station in Tangshan City while distributing truth-clarification materials. Mr. Liu is being held in the Tangshan City No. 1 Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Kaimei, a practitioner from Wenquan in Kai County, was turned in to the police while clarifying the truth. On February 13, 2007, Zeng Qiangguo (male) and two other officers from the Wenquan Police Station took her into custody. Ms. Zhang was sent to the Kai County Detention Center and she has not been released.

Mr. Gao Chongjiu was taken into custody (and is still being held) by the Daxing District 610 Office in Beijing on February 27, 2007. Mr. Chang Fengjie, a practitioner who works at Lixian Town Market, was also arrested. Mr. Chang's whereabouts is not known.

Ms. Ma Yun, a practitioner from Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, has been sentenced to ten years in prison. Ms. Wei Zhouxiang has also been sentenced to ten years in prison, and Mr. Fang Jianping was sentenced to eight years in prison. They are being held in the Lanzhou No. 1 Detention Center.

At around 10:00 a.m. on February 28, 2007, officers from the Chengfeng Police Department in Daqing City smashed windows and took Mr. Tie Zhijie, a practitioner who lives in the Shicai Buildings, into custody. Practitioner Mr. Hou Guangqin, who works at the Geographic Mine Recording Company, was also arrested. At around 3:00 p.m. the same day, Deng Hui (male) and four other officers opened the door with keys taken from Mr. Hou and searched his home. The officers took away Falun Dafa books, portraits of Falun Dafa's Teacher, several truth-clarification sheets, a computer and a cellphone.

On the evening of February 27, 2007, Ms. Song Ronghua and another female practitioner, Xiaoxia from Gaopaidian City, went to Batong Market to distribute truth-clarification materials. They were followed on their way home. Officers subsequently conducted unlawful searches. The two practitioners have since been held in custody.

Practitioners Mr. Jin Chengshan and Ms. Jiao Xiaohua from the Hulan District in Harbin City were put on trial on February 27, 2007, without receiving any notice. Prior to the trial, Mr. Jin and Ms. Jiao were on hunger strikes since February 24.

The Hefei Road Police Station in Qingdao City has unlawfully sent practitioners Ms. Wang Shujuan and Ms. Zhong Shuhui to Wangcun Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City without notifying their families.

On February 27, 2007, practitioner Mr. Sun Hongzhu from Beisanli Village in Shouguang City was taken into custody by officers from the Chengqu Police Station. The officers demanded 10,000 yuan in cash before they would release Mr. Sun. They claimed that the regulation that no one should be held for over 24 hours without being charged did not apply to Falun Gong. Mr. Sun has been held for over 24 hours.

On February 15, 2007, Ms. Li Changqiu was taken to the Puyang Road Police Station by officials from the city's police, Procuratorate, and 610 Office, and security guards of the city's department store. Ms. Li is from Pingchang County, Sichuan Province. She is being held in the Dujiangyan City Detention Center.

On February 24, the detention center authorities told her family to send in money and clothes. On February 25, when Ms. Li's father took clothes and other necessities to the detention center, an official with the last name Shen took only the jacket and sweaters. Other personal items, including underwear and a comb, were rejected. The official demanded money and asked for quilts. The official also told Ms. Li's father that prior to the "sentencing" no one was allowed to meet with Ms. Li Changqiu.

On August 21, 2006, Mr. Zhang Yuwen and another practitioner went out to post truth-clarification materials. Wang Fengjun (gender unknown) and two other officers from the Qianjin Police Agency took the practitioners into custody. After 15 days of unlawful detention, the practitioners got out with righteous thoughts. However, Wang Fengjun, Xu Da (division head), and others reported to the city's State Security Division proposing to sentence Mr. Zhang Yuwen to forced labor. The officers have recently been planning to arrest Mr. Zhang.
