(Clearwisdom.net) I would like to share my personal transformation since
I started practicing Falun Gong. I would like the world to know that Falun Gong
is capable of genuinely improving people. Falun Gong is indeed wonderful.
I am from Zhao County, Hebei Province and am almost 50 years old. I had a
miserable childhood. My father was forced out of his house by the Chinese
Communist Party (CCP) and was severely discriminated against because he was a
landowner.
I was exposed to long-term psychological pressure and emotional trauma. Since
puberty, I suffered from insomnia, dizziness, headaches and neurasthenia. I was
given shots and other prescription medicine but they didn't help. Finally I went
to a hospital in the city and was diagnosed with vascular headache. I sought
medical treatments from both Western and Chinese medicine but nothing worked.
I refused to listen to any criticisms from my family. When I heard any
negative comment I would throw a temper tantrum. Throwing fits to me was as
common as having daily meals. My temper deteriorated somewhat as time went by. I
only bickered with my family every other day. My family was very nervous
whenever I was at home.
In May 1999, I was fortunate to find out about Falun Gong and I started
practicing. Since then, I have been cultivating myself and journeying towards my
true self.
After Teacher cleansed my body, I finally knew what it felt to be healthy and
free of illness. As I continued to study the Fa and practice the
Falun Gong exercises, I tried my best to follow the principles of
Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to improve myself. Gradually I started to
change. I became thoughtful of others. As I continued to rectify my speech and
action based on Falun Gong's teachings, I stopped bickering and berating others.
One day an electrician was underpaid by a few yuan for his
service because he gave me the wrong amount of change back. I didn't realize it
at the time. When I discovered that I hadn't paid him the correct amount, I
immediately went to him and corrected it. A town folk in his 50's who witnessed
the scene sighed and commented, "In my whole life I have never seen anyone
returning money that he has been overpaid!" The electrician was very
touched. He said, "You Falun Gong practitioners are such good people. One
day I will learn Falun Gong as well."
In the autumn of 2006 while fruit farmers were busy harvesting pears, a
businesswoman from another area came purchasing pears and Asian pears. She hired
my two children and me to pick pears from pear trees and pack them into boxes.
After she paid us for the labor, I knew something with wrong with the wages.
When I asked her about it, she said, "Oh, my goodness. I should have paid
everyone for half a day of labor but I ended up paying everyone for a full day
of work. You see? You were the only one to return the extra wages. How have you
come to be so considerate?" I told her it is because our Teacher has taught
us well and I am a disciple of Falun Gong, which requires its students to follow
the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Then she asked me for
Falun Gong materials and truth-clarification materials. She was very
impressed with Falun Gong.
One day my family and I went outside the village to sell pears. On our way
home, my children said we had earned more money that day than usual and wondered
if we had packed more pears in our car that day. We calculated the money only to
realize that our customer had paid us for 66 pears when he bought only 60. My
child and I immediately got on a motorcycle and returned the extra money to the
customer. When he saw us returning the extra money, he exclaimed, "So those
stories in the Falun Gong materials are true! Falun Gong practitioners really
would not pick up money on the road and take it as their own!" I told her
that Falun Gong practitioners would never take anything that was not theirs.
As I continue to study the Fa and cultivate my xinxing,
I find myself constantly trying to govern myself according to Falun Gong's
standard. My family was once opposed to me practicing Falun Gong, but now they
all know the practice is good and Falun Gong's principles of
Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good. They support my practice of Falun
Gong. In fact, they now are also trying to follow Falun Gong's principles, to be
better people.
Of course, I am not saying that I am perfect. My point is that Falun Gong has
transformed me and made me a better person than before. If it had not been Falun
Gong, I cannot imagine what I have become in this morally degenerated society!
Because I insist on following Falun Gong's principles of
Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, my friends, relatives and neighbors have
witnessed my transformation and they understand that Falun Gong is good. They
have followed the will of Heaven and quit the Chinese Communist Party and/or its
two affiliated organizations. Now that they know the truth about Falun Gong,
they will have a wonderful future.
