One day while buying some fruit, I was wondering if I should give the fruit merchant a brochure that explained the truth about Falun Gong. He was very dirty and it seemed like he did not have much education. I realized that a practitioner shouldn't have any prejudice toward others, so I asked him tentatively, "I have a great pamphlet. Do you want to read it when you have time?"

To my surprise, he said, "These little pamphlets are my favorite. I have collected many of them, including this one, the "Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party."

"Really!" I replied, "That's great! I still have others. After you finish reading them, don't just throw them away. Share them with your friends and relatives." He agreed and said he would give them to his cousin.

Then he told me one of his personal experiences. One day he was peddling on the street ,and during his break he was reading a brochure when a woman came up to him and said, "You shouldn't read Falun Gong materials." He asked, "Why do you think I shouldn't read it?" The woman said that she worked at the Street Community Office, which was exclusively responsible for Falun Gong affairs.

When she tried to take the brochure, he raised his voice and said, "What's wrong with Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance? Tell me, what's wrong with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance? What Falun Gong says is all true. They speak the truth in today's society whereas most people do not." He said that he asked several other people if there was anything wrong with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, because many had gathered to see what was happening. The woman then said, "I will not reason with you. I will not reason with you!" and left.

I told him, "You are amazing! People like you are rare nowadays. You are bound to receive good rewards for your good deeds." He laughed and said, "She tried to threaten me by telling me she works in the Street Community Office. I would not have been afraid even if they had taken me to the Public Security Bureau. Why shouldn't I read what I want at my cart?"

My mother had just started to practice Falun Gong. One day she tried to persuade one of her friends to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Her friend had a self-righteous attitude and said that all her family members were CCP members and left. My husband and I shared with my mother and told her to not be interfered with. We told her not to judge a person's immediate reaction based on one occurrence. Everything in the universe is changing, so she would have another chance to talk to her friend. My mother and her friend met up again and the woman agreed to quit the CCP.

My mom told me that, for the first time, she felt excited and happy for another person's life after she had persuaded her friend to renounce the CCP. She also apologized to me and said that she had had a bad attitude toward me when I tried to persuade her to practice Falun Gong and tried to get her to quit the CCP.

Now she realized that all we had done was for the salvation of sentient beings. She prepared some Dafa materials for the son of her friend, including the proclamations and prizes Teacher and Falun Gong have received overseas and numerous facts and investigative reports about the CCP persecution Falun Gong reported on by the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China. She also gave her a Nine Commentaries disc. Her friend was worried at first because her son might throw the materials away. However, two days later, she said that, after her son watched the Nine Commentaries, he agreed that the CCP was very cruel and brutal, and he allowed me help him quit the CCP online.

He put the Nine Commentaries disc in a prominent place and shared them with students who attended his English classes. Two of his students renounced the Chinese Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers.

Later, her friend called her husband in China and told him the truth about Falun Dafa's situation. Her husband also agreed to quit the CCP. I was very much moved by the awakening of the world's people. At the same time I realized the importance of Dafa disciples' spreading the Nine Commentaries to encourage everyday people to also spread it and persuade others to quit the CCP.
