Case Description:
Ms. Cui Xinxiang, 54, was from Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. Because Ms. Cui repeatedly went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and tell truth of Falun Gong to other people, She was illegally detained 13 times and sentenced to forced labor twice. In September 2000, she was taken to the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp in Baoding City.In February 2004, she was illegally detained at the Shalingzi Brainwashing Center in Zhangjiakou City.To protest the persecution while in prison, Ms. Cui held hunger strikes many times. However, at a certain point, her body shut down and she passed away on July 11, 2007.
