(Minghui.org) In March 2012, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Fucai from Minxiang Village, Zhangwei Township, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province was arrested by police while clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. In April, he was illegally sentenced to four years in prison. In May, when Mr. Liu was sent to prison, he was taken directly to the prison hospital. Five days later, the doctor issued a “notice of critical condition.” His family demanded Mr. Liu be released, yet the Hulan Prison authorities said that Zhou Yongkang had given the order, “better to let him die than let him go.”

Zhou Yongkang, the head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Political and Legislative Affairs Committee, is one of the chief culprits that followed Jiang Zemin in persecuting Falun Gong. He is responsible for the deaths of many practitioners.

Mr. Liu Fucai, 50, used to suffer from many illnesses. Due to taking steroid medication for long periods of time, Mr. Liu developed osteonecrosis in both femurs. After he started practicing Falun Gong, he got rid of his crutches in just a month and all his other illnesses also disappeared. Mr. Liu strictly follows the principles of Falun Dafa, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” and strives to be a good person. His neighbors are all witnesses to that.

Facing the CCP's persecution, Mr. Liu remains committed to telling people about his own experience in practicing Falun Gong. On March 5, 2012, Mr. Liu was arrested by police officers from the Sifangtai Police Station while clarifying the truth. Without notifying Mr. Liu's defense lawyer and family, tribunal judge Cui Youwei of Suihua Beilin District Court held a secret hearing on April 19 and sentenced Mr. Liu to four years in prison.

Mr. Liu was sent to Hulan Prison on May 24. On June 4, Mr. Liu's family received a phone call from the prison authorities and was asked to visit him. The prison political director Zou and prison doctor Han (police serial no. 2305577) met with Mr. Liu's family. Han told the family that Mr. Liu was directly taken to the prison hospital when he arrived. Five days later, the doctor issued a “notice of serious/critical condition.” Now Mr. Liu has been diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary tuberculosis, high fever, and severe asthma. Mr. Liu is not able to walk and his life is in danger. His family repeatedly requested that Mr. Liu be released. Prison authorities responded with, “There is nothing we can do either. Zhou Yongkang has given the order.” Mr. Liu's family questioned, “Do we just watch him die then?” Zou and Han could not respond.

At the moment of life and death, the Hulan Prison authorities are still following Zhou Yongkang's orders. Are Zhou's words more important than a human life?
