(Minghui.org) Laifu (alias) is a hard-working man who is well-respected in the village. Over the last eight years, he bought a new home, saw his son get married, and welcomed a grandson. He and his son work close to home and earn a good income. Most villagers, on the other hand cannot find work nearby.
Many friends and relatives say that Laifu is having a great life. Those who know that his wife is a Falun Gong practitioner say that his good fortune comes from his wife's cultivation.
About fifteen years ago, Laifu experienced many problems. His wife was sick and unable to work. They had high medical expenses and could not afford good food or to buy clothes. A nice house was definitely out of the question.
After his wife began practicing Falun Gong, she returned to good health, could work and they no longer had any medical bills. Thus, their financial position took a drastic turn for the better.
Facing Persecution
In 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), headed by Jiang Zemin, decided to persecute Falun Gong. Laifu's wife went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. She was illegally arrested.
Some CCP agents asked Laifu, “What do you think of Falun Gong?” He asked them in return, “Do you want me to tell you the truth?” They replied, “Yes, tell us the truth.” Laifu said, “Then you must promise not to arrest me.” They agreed.
Laifu then said, “Falun Gong is good. My wife gained back her health by practicing it.”
There was a period of time when Laifu's wife was on the run to avoid imprisonment for her faith. Police put pressure on Laifu to locate his wife and other Falun Gong practitioners. Laifu had only one answer for them, “Forget it.”
Even when they threatened that they would beat him with electric batons, his answer was the same. Then, they turned to his son, but got the same answer, “Forget it.”
Laifu's wife set up a site to produce Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials at home. Laifu supported her and just told her to be careful. When she was preparing or making copies of the materials, Laifu always locked their door. When she needed to do some printing but was unable to open the ink compartment, Laifu opened it for her.
His wife told him, “Your helping practitioners to save sentient beings is a great deed. It will bring blessings to you.”
About a week later, Laifu got a promotion. He has an easy job of maintaining a machine.
At first, Laifu's son did not understand why his mother wanted to produce Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials at home. After she explained the facts about Falun Gong to him in more detail, he understood and supported her. Now, he has a beautiful wife and a lovely son.
