(Minghui.org) Mr. An Renrong was illegally arrested on December 27, 2011, by officers from the local Domestic Security Division. He was interrogated through torture, and subsequently went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.
Mr. An was released on bail on January 17, 2012. In the past year, he has been frequently harassed by police from the Wuyishan Domestic Security Division. Recently, police collaborated with the Procuratorate and court to file a lawsuit against Mr. An.
Family Harassed by Police
Policemen Cao Chunfu, Tang Dazhong, Zhou Guisheng, Cui Changde and others from the Domestic Security Division followed and monitored Mr. An. They also tapped his cell phone and frequently intimidated his wife. The police forced Mr. An's wife to monitor him; as a result, she could not go to work.
The van that Mr. An drove for his small business was confiscated by the police two years ago and has not been returned. As a result, Mr. An was unable to work and provide for his family and daughter, who is in college. Now, his family is financially strained.
Documents Falsified to Frame Mr. An
On January 17, 2013, using the excuse of returning personal belongings, policeman Cao Chunfu tricked Mr. An and his wife to come to the Wuyishan Procuratorate. Mr. An was told to sign a document, but noticed a line that said, “Release on bail for one year starting from January 17, 2013.” Mr. An refused to sign, but Cui Changde from the Domestic Security Division would not let the couple leave. Mr. An's wife became very frightened and signed on behalf of her husband. Only then were they released.
The Wuyishan Procuratorate called Mr. An again on March 25, 2013, and told him and his wife to come to the office. Mr. An told his wife not to go.
Hou Yongsheng from the Procuratorate and Cui Changde showed up at Mr. An's home on March 27. Hou gave Mr. An an indictment and wanted Mr. An to confess to the purported crime. Mr. An refused. Hou then threatened Mr. An, “You are in big trouble.” He also told his wife, “Considering your husband's attitude, we will have to come to arrest him.”
The court called Mr. An on April 2, 2013, and told him and his wife to come to court. Mr. An did not go. His wife was very afraid, so she went to court with a cousin. A court official threatened, “If your husband doesn't come, we will arrest him.” Mr. An's wife collapsed under pressure and had a mental breakdown.
