(Minghui.org) Mr. Gu Daping, a practitioner from Handan, was arrested by police from the Handan Development Zone Police Department on May 30, 2013. He was reported for distributing software designed to bypass the Chinese Internet censorship, near the Xinmeilin Hotel east of Lianfang Road, in Handan.
Mr. Gu Daping, in his fifties, works in the Handan State No. 2 Cotton Mill. He has been repeatedly arrested and harassed for being a Falun Dafa practitioner. He was once jailed at the Handan Forced Labor Camp, where he was tortured.
Guard Wang Zhiming took him into an office on December 12, 2005, and slapped him after Mr. Gu said that swearing at others was wrong.
Prison guard captain Li Poyong extended the prison terms of five practitioners in April 2006, and attempted to “transform” them by using brainwashing, deception, induction, and torture. Mr. Gu disobeyed and was brutally beaten by guard Gao Fei in a small room.
Guard Wang Zhiming punished Mr. Gu on October 25, 2007, for not reporting beforehand that he was going to wash his hands. In a “counseling room” Wang ordered inmates Liu Chun, Ren Lianshan, Li Baoyong, Wang Hongjun, Liu Lei, and Li Mingchao to torture Mr. Gu. They tied Mr. Gui's legs together to make them straight, and forced him to sit on the ground. Two of them dragged his arms outward, so he could not support his body using his hands.
Several of the men then trampled on his back to press his chest onto his legs. People throughout the building heard his screams of pain. The torture continued until they heard a snap sound from his back. After the inmates stopped, guard Wang shocked Mr. Gu using an electric baton. After the electric baton ran out of power, Wang pushed Mr. Gu to the ground and beat him with a rubber club.
