(Minghui.org) I mainly explain the facts about Falun Gong in person. I was telling two high school girls about Shen Yun Performing Arts programs one day when I heard someone behind me say, “Why are you here again?”
I was surprised after recognizing the voice of a Domestic Security Division head, but I immediately calmed down and responded, “I didn't do anything.”
“You didn't do anything, but what is that DVD in your hand?” he asked. While sending forth righteous thoughts in my mind, I turned around and raised the DVD in my hand, “Oh, this is Shen Yun Performing Arts.” I smiled at him as I put the DVD into my bag and said, “Long time no see.”
He said, “Please don't do that. You'll suffer again if you keep it up.” I calmly replied, “I didn't do anything wrong.” He turned and quickly walked away.
In 15 years of ups and downs, officers from the county 610 Office have been monitoring me, especially after I was released from a detention center a few years ago. On the sensitive dates each year, the same police officers come to alert and warn me.
A practitioner was arrested in 2012 for clarifying the facts about Falun Gong, and officers from the county 610 Office came to my house and told me to "contain" the local practitioner group.
I responded that Falun Gong isn't an organization, nor does it have leaders. I said that practitioners are cultivating their own hearts to be good people and do good deeds. I told them not to persecute good people, that "good is met with blessings, evil is met with retribution."
On the eve of the CCP's 18th Conference, the 610 Office ordered my supervisor to call me to the workplace to write a guarantee statement to stop practicing Falun Gong. If I didn't, they would suspend my pension. Instead of writing the statement, I clarified the truth to them. They told me to sign the guarantee statement again, but I refused to do it.
A few days later, the director, deputy director, and several other officials from my workplace showed up at my house with gifts worth more than a hundred yuan. They said that they were representing the company.
The director said that she had just transferred to the bureau so she didn't know me. I responded that it must be a predestined relationship for us to meet, and I clarified the facts to them.
The director said that she also believed in Buddhas. I replied, “Since you believe in Buddhas, you are a kind person. Falun Gong, also called Falun Buddha Law, is based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and helps people to become better.”
She said that, since the country doesn't allow it, I should not practice it publicly and should just cooperate and sign the guarantee statement. I told her that I wouldn't sign it, that I did not acknowledge the persecution. She warned me, “If you don't cooperate, don't blame us when your pension is reduced.”
I told them that I had worked for several decades and that I had earned that income. The director asked if I had created any wealth for the society. I said, “There are different occupations and different kinds of work. It's fine as long as we do our job diligently. It's impossible for everyone to be an inventor.
“Everyone has the right to live. I have a job and you became an officer.”
She said that the country had banned the practice. She couldn't deal with the situation because of the pressure being put on her by the management. I told her that only the CCP is suppressing Falun Gong and that it is practiced in more than 100 countries around the world, so don't participate in the persecution. I also refused to accept the presents they had brought.
A few days later, the head of the 610 Office and my supervisor again told me to sign the statement. I advised them not to participate in the persecution, not to be a Party scapegoat. He said that he was just following orders.
I reminded him: “You are following unjust orders. When justice is served, no one will say that you followed official rules. There are many such lessons in history. Dozens of CCP officials have been accused both in China and in the international courts."
I told them what Falun Gong is and why we are being persecuted. I reminded them of the many Communist movements that persecuted so many people.
I talked about the changes in dynasties and cosmic phenomena. I told them again not to participate in the persecution for their own sake. I talked for more than an hour. In the end, the 610 Office head sighed, "Oh, forget it, let's go back."
Master said:
“So as a cultivator, what is truly remarkable is when you can be steadfast and have righteous thoughts so firm that nothing can sway you. Be solid and firm like diamond, or granite, and then nothing can affect you--evil will be afraid at the mere sight of you. If upon encountering trying circumstances your thinking can be truly righteous, then, when faced with the evil's persecution and when faced with interference, just one sentence of yours fortified with steadfast righteous thoughts can instantly make the evil disintegrate (applause), and it will make those who are being used by the evil turn and flee, it will make the evil's persecution of you dissolve, and it will make the evil's interfering with you disappear without a trace.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference, 2005”)
We shoulder a great responsibility in saving sentient beings. My hope is that more people will awaken to the facts and be saved. In the limited time left, I want to do my best to follow Master's teachings to do the three things, study the Fa, abandon human notions, and use rationality and wisdom to awaken more people quickly.
