(Minghui.org) Captain Cook's Cottage is a popular tourist destination in Melbourne, Australia. Local Falun Gong practitioners have come here every week for more than ten years to tell the public about Falun Gong and to raise awareness of the persecution the practice faces in China.
Ms. Liu, a local practitioner, often runs into Chinese tourists at the cottage.She tells them about the persecution of Falun Gong and how millions of Chinese have renounced their memberships in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Several people have been touched by her sincerity, and quit the Party. Many tour guides have admired her persuasive abilities, and one tour guide exclaimed, "You should be a tour guide!"
A Reluctant Tourist
During China's week-long October holiday, large groups of Chinese tourists who came to Cook's Cottage saw Falun Gong practitioners meditating to peaceful exercise music near Fitzroy Gardens on October 5, 2014.

They also had an opportunity to learn about the persecution of Falun Gong and the popular quit-the-CCP movement. By reading the practitioners' materials and listening to them, they obtained information that they cannot access easily in China.
However, one tourist refused to take what Ms. Liu handed her and even tried to prevent her family members from reading the information on a banner Ms. Liu held near their tour bus.
The woman said she was a veteran Party member, and she credited a former CCP head official for her wealth and ability to travel abroad.
Clear Explanations
Ms. Liu talked with her and all the tourists on the bus. Ms. Liu said, "The CCP is responsible for the deaths of 80 million Chinese since it seized power in China. It has never stopped killing. It's now committing an unprecedented crime--harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and selling their organs for huge profits. Think it over. Don't harbor any false hopes about the CCP. It will be held accountable for all the crimes it has committed. Don't suffer the consequences along with it when the time comes.
"You're overseas now--you should learn the facts on your own, renounce your memberships in any organizations affiliated with the Party, and ensure your own future. It will be too late if you wait until the CCP collapses. Take control of your own fate now. We Falun Gong practitioners only wish the best for you," she said.
As they listened, several tourists smiled and nodded in agreement. The tour guide standing near Ms. Liu kept agreeing and praised Ms. Liu for being so articulate and persuasive. She exclaimed, "You should really be a tour guide!"
The Importance of Convincing Tour Guides
Ms. Liu's sincerity has also convinced many other tour guides.
She says that it's very important that tour guides and tour bus drivers understand the facts about Falun Gong. "Their opinions can sway tourists. After they are aware of the facts, a busload of tourists will most likely learn the facts."
Ms. Liu also talked about how she unravels the doubts some of the tour guides may have.
She said she usually talks to them from the perspective of accumulating virtue by doing good deeds. Most tour guides agree with her viewpoint.
She also tells the tour guides about the responsibility and good intention Falun Gong practitioners have for Chinese people. She said, "Regardless of the weather, Falun Gong practitioners have volunteered to be here year-round for 15 years. We have endured people's anger and verbal abuse, and constantly tried to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong in a peaceful and rational manner.
"If the Chinese regime didn't block the free flow of information, we wouldn't have to stand here to tell Chinese tourists the facts. They have been deceived by the CCP's lies and propaganda for years and can't distinguish between the Party and China. Falun Gong practitioners only wish the best for them." The tour guides' attitudes usually change after they listen to Ms. Liu's explanation.
