I have been making phone calls to officials in China's judicial system to expose Dafa practitioners' persecution cases over the past six years. Although I sometimes participated in other Fa validation projects, I never stopped making these phone calls. Making phone calls to expose the persecution can rescue the practitioners in China in time, expose and eliminate evils, and save the sentient beings deceived by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) lies.
Making Phone Calls to Expose Persecution Cases
When I made phone calls, I usually sent forth strong righteous thoughts first to eliminate the evil forces' interference in other dimensions. Then I read the case thoroughly. After the party I called picked up the phone, I exposed the persecution case and warned the personnel that the case had already received international attention. They usually panicked when they heard we knew so many details. In addition, I also clarified the truth of Falun Dafa, the truth of the CCP's live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners, the retribution CCP personnel received for participating in persecution, an update about China in the international environment, and how to save themselves.
For the past few years, in order to encourage more practitioners to make phone calls, I helped to compile truth-clarification materials for them. Some were reference materials from the telephone call group, and some were truth-clarifying articles that practitioners shared online. I told the practitioners that although most of the calls were not answered, and some people who answered just hung up the phone or scolded us, they all know we are practitioners. No matter what happened, as long as our practitioners' voice and the righteous thoughts passed through and reached the other end, the evil factors behind that person would be dissolved.
I also shared with practitioners the importance of updating the call results on the case status website. That way, practitioners can follow up and track the cases with the most updated information and rescue more practitioners. If practitioners participating in making phone calls to expose the persecution cases can spend a little time to update the results of the phone calls, we will improve together and encourage more practitioners to participate in this project.
Joining the Taiwan Rescue Platform
I joined the Taiwan rescue platform over four years ago. The practitioners working on this platform helped and encouraged each other and worked selflessly on Dafa projects. They spent a lot of time and effort to search, verify and post the complete persecution cases. I felt I still had a lot of gaps compared to them. This encouraged me to spend more time making phone calls.
Everyone working on the platform put a lot of effort into clarifying the truth with the hope of reducing pressure on Mainland practitioners and saving more sentient beings. Every time there was a serious arrest, no matter what time it was, everyone online seized every minute to rescue them. We made phone calls to the responsible persons or departments in China and sent our righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil. Many practitioners were rescued when we cooperated with practitioners in China.
While clarifying the truth on the platform, I also got rid of many attachments such as fear, selfishness, laziness, showing-off and the competitive mentality. I can still recall when I first joined the platform and made phone calls, I was very nervous when I saw all the practitioners online made phone calls very quickly. I was not very familiar with operating the network phone. Every day before I logged on, I had stomach and abdominal pain. I was afraid of not being able to clarify the truth well and my attachment to reputation reared its head. I had so many fears that I told the coordinators and my sister that I was thinking of quitting the platform.
They shared experiences with me and told me that every thing is a good thing, no matter whether it appears to be good or not. This was the time to get rid of my attachments and I should not give up. I thought what they said was very reasonable, so I studied the Fa more and increased my righteous thoughts to rectify myself within the Fa. I also focused on how to save sentient beings instead of focusing on myself. Gradually I let go of the attachments.
Later I joined an overseas rescue platform to encourage more practitioners to make phone calls. I also helped post the persecution cases online to allow practitioners make phone calls. But it seemed like the practitioners on this platform were all very busy. There were many practitioners online, but only a few made phone calls on behalf of persecuted practitioners. Once the practitioners online pointed out that the case I posted was not appropriate. My grievances immediately came out. I told the coordinator that I wouldn't post any cases anymore, nor encourage other practitioners to make phone calls. I did not look inward.
It was close to the New Year. I went back to my mother's. One of my relatives saw me and asked why I had become so frail. My attachment came out again. Before I had passed one test, here was another! My arms started to hurt and I could not lift them. After I went home, I told the coordinator that I was under a lot of pressure and I wanted to quit the platform. The coordinator told me to first calm down and relax for a few days before making any decision.
Then I happened to read an experience sharing article on the Minghui website. A practitioner in China went out to clarify the truth on a winter day in heavy snow. She could hardly see anyone on the road. The wind in her face was like needles. She had to try very hard not to fall down with every step. But the practitioner still walked for more than 10 hours and persuaded over 100 people to withdraw from the CCP. When she got home, her shoes were full of mud and snow, but she felt very happy since she did not delay saving those sentient beings.
After I read the article, my mind became very clear. I found my gaps and shortcomings. I was too selfish. I did not think of others based on the Fa and did not have compassion for fellow practitioners. I told myself I really needed to cultivate more diligently and seize the precious time to save more sentient beings. After I communicated with the coordinator, I decided to go back to the platform and make phone calls again. At that moment, I felt a heavy burden was removed and my arms no longer hurt. My entire body and mind were very relaxed.
Clarifying the Truth to the Judicial System
I would like to share a few examples of how I clarified the truth to people in the CCP judicial system.
1. I called a police station chief in Hubei Province to rescue a practitioner. I told him the case had already received international attention and the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) had already recorded and reported on it, including the chief and the police station's names and phone numbers.
After I clarified the truth to him, he said he had already released the practitioner. He said he had read Falun Gong brochures and he asked about the CCP's organ harvesting from living practitioners. After I told him the facts, he understood what to do. He used his real name to quit the CCP and its organizations. He also repeatedly asked me to help let the Minghui website know that he had released the practitioner.
2. When we heard that many practitioners in a city in Northeast China were arrested, I called the political instructor at the domestic security division in charge of the case. He did not say a word the first two times, but did listen. When I called him the third time, I asked whether he could help get the practitioners released. He said, “Tomorrow I will release the three you mentioned.” The next day I learned that they had, indeed, been released.
3. After one police officer heard me explain the facts over the phone, he asked how to help. I told him that if someone reported on practitioners for informing people about the persecution, please do not arrest them. I also told him he should protect practitioners within his power, help those who were arrested and detained, and record and expose others' crimes to the WOIPFG. He agreed and quit the CCP. He also shouted, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
4. I called a judge from the Yandu District Court in Hunan Province who was the presiding judge at a Falun Gong practitioner's trial. After he quietly listened, he said he followed the law. I said, “Falun Gong teaches people to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be a good person. Falun Gong is legal in every other country. Please be just. Items 35 and 36 of your constitution grant your citizens the freedoms of belief and speech. The CCP has been persecuting Falun Gong for over ten years with no legal foundation.” I asked him again to help the practitioners and resolve the case with compassion. He agreed. He also agreed to withdraw from the CCP and its organizations.
5. Every morning I log onto the platform to make phone calls to expose and stop the persecution, clarify the truth, and rescue practitioners. One morning I saw that a practitioner in a Heilongjiang Province prison was scheduled to be released that day, but the prison refused to OK the release. I sent forth righteous thoughts, called the prison, and got the number of the person responsible. I called and told him the situation, that the case had been widely reported, and asked him to help get the practitioner released. I told him the truth about Falun Gong. I encouraged him to stop persecuting practitioners and being a CCP scapegoat. That afternoon we learned that the practitioner was released.
6. In a police station in Hubei Province, many of the officers refused to listen and hung up immediately. The chief got on the phone and told me to stop harassing him.
I said, “Let me tell you a story. The 610 Office in one city had a meeting to plan for further persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Before he even got started, the chief of one police station stood up and said, 'That's why you gathered us here? You still want to die for the CCP? We all want to live a few years longer. I'm leaving.' Then all the chiefs who understood the truth left the meeting, too. Many officers who had participated in persecuting Falun Gong got the message and chose a good future for themselves.
“The CCP has deceived the world with its lies. I believe you already know the truth and you have the wisdom to judge whether the CCP is right or wrong. Please treat practitioners kindly and stop persecuting them. Please record others' crimes. Can you do that?” He she he would and completely changed his attitude. Righteous thoughts are truly powerful.
7. A police officer complained that practitioners called him too often. He said he did not do anything bad and never persecuted Falun Gong. He told me there was no need to talk since he already knew the truth. A lot of his friends had encouraged him to withdraw from CCP, but he had never agreed.
I said, “You really have compassion and understand the truth. The reason we call is because heaven wants to give you peace and good fortune. Please let me help you quit the CCP.” He agreed. This demonstrates how practitioners in China and those overseas cooperate well to save sentient beings.
8. Some police officers started to yell at me after just a few words. They said, “Do you know where we work?” I said, “I don't care. I just want to let you know the truth. If you treat Falun Gong practitioners with compassion and justice, you will have a great future. I do this for your own good.” I was not afraid, spoke kindly, and sent forth strong righteous thoughts. I believed I was doing the most righteous thing and could suppress all evil. I asked Master to strengthen me to let them know the truth. Most of them responded kindly and said they would treat the practitioners well and choose a great future.
9. A lot of police officers complained that they got many calls on the same day and told me to stop harassing him. I told them they were fortunate to receive so many such calls. Their attitude usually improved and they were open to listening. One said, “You sound very kind. Usually I just hang up right away.” I thanked him and encouraged him to help get the practitioners released and not persecute them.
10. I called a detention center in Liaoning Province and told the police about a persecution case. He said that Falun Gong practitioners engaged in politics and besieged the government in Zhongnanhai. I was very calm and sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil behind him. Then I told him with compassion, “Since there are so many people practicing Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin got very jealous and tried to stir things up. The police in Tianjin illegally arrested 45 practitioners. Others appealed to the authorities on their behalf. This eventually led tens of thousands of practitioners to appeal on April 25, 1999, in Beijing.
“The authorities used this event as an excuse to persecute Falun Gong. The CCP twisted the facts and slandered Falun Gong, saying we were 'besieging the government.'” Then I talked about how the CCP fabricated the Tiananmen Square Self-Immolation incident to provoke hatred for Falun Gong and an excuse for the brutal persecution.
“All the world knows Falun Dafa is good. Only the CCP persecutes Falun Gong. The practitioners who clarify the truth to the public are asking for a legal environment to practice Falun Gong and their freedom of belief. They are not engaging in politics. I wish you could understand the truth and treat practitioners with kindness.”
He said, “What do you want me to do? I just support my family. Since the CCP gives me money, I should certainly work for it.” I said, “The money is not the CCP's. It is the taxpayers' money. The CCP does not give you money. You earn it through your hard work.” He agreed. Then I told him that Jiang Zemin was sued worldwide for persecuting Falun Gong and many high ranking CCP officials were also sued when they came to Taiwan. I encouraged him to withdraw from the CCP for his own safety. His attitude gradually changed from misunderstanding Dafa to being willing to treat practitioners with kindness and justice.
During the process of making phone calls to expose the persecution cases, rescue fellow practitioners, save sentient beings, and help Master rectify the Fa, I fully understand that every righteous thought comes from truly studying the Fa and cultivating ourselves diligently and from our righteous belief in Master and the Fa. We should not have any human notions; we should just follow the Fa's principles to clarify the truth. Master will then give us everything we need for cultivation. In the future, I will cultivate more diligently, rectify anything unrighteous, assimilate to the Fa, and fulfill my prehistoric vows.
To validate the Fa and save sentient beings, some practitioners in China have lost their lives and some are still imprisoned and being persecuted. Although we do not acknowledge the persecution, those practitioners are really great. Practitioners overseas have a relaxed environment and should really try their best to save more sentient beings. I want to encourage more practitioners to pick up the phone, stop the persecution, and save sentient beings with us.
