(Minghui.org) We went to the countryside one night in January to distribute information about Falun Dafa. There, we met a middle-aged man, who said, "You are sneaky. You act like thieves!"
After returning home we studied Master's “Dafa Disciples Must Study the Fa - Fa Teaching Given at the 2011 Washington DC Metro Area Fa Conference,” where Master said,
"When you visit nicer communities, you’re too scared to say anything, hesitantly holding out that pamphlet with great trepidation."
"That really is the case. There has been a great deal of groundwork done in advance. All that’s missing is your carrying things out with righteous thoughts. Yet you haven’t had the righteous thoughts that it takes."
We realized that we should eliminate the attachment of fear in order to save sentient beings face to face with dignity.
Some rural areas are sparsely populated, and the roads are very bad. Many people in those areas don't know the truth about Falun Dafa. We decided to use the time around the Chinese New Year to bring information about Falun Dafa to farmers when they went to the holiday markets to shop.
Eight of us took more than 400 truth clarification DVDs to a town some distance from the nearest large town at noon on January 26, 2014. There were many people at the holiday market. We split into two groups to distribute the DVDs along both sides of the street. Most people took one. By 1:00 p.m., one practitioner had only four DVDs left. Then four police officers showed up and seized him, and took him to the local police station.
The rest of us saw what happened and sent forth righteous thoughts. We then notified fellow practitioners throughout the county to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil beings who were persecuting this practitioner.
One of us went to the practitioner's home to notify his family that he had been arrested. Another reported the event on the Minghui website and contacted practitioners in surrounding counties to send forth righteous thoughts for the detained practitioner. Other practitioners called the police station. With everyone's cooperation, this was all done in less than an hour.
Practitioners in charge of calling the police kept calling the station. They told them about Falun Gong and about the principle that good is rewarded with good and evil meets with evil. They also let them know the fact that Li Dongsheng and Zhou Yongkang, the main culprits behind the persecution of Falun Gong, have been detained by the government. At last a police official said, “We have been completely persuaded by Falun Gong. Your practitioner will be released.”
The practitioner who made the last call to the police went to the detained practitioner's home and verified that he had been released.
They called the police station again and congratulated them on making the right choice, which would bring them a good future. They also wished all the police officers a happy Chinese New Year. The police officer repeated several times on the phone, “Thank you!” We practitioners said, “You need to thank our Master, Li Hongzhi.” He said, “Yes. Thank you! Thank you!”
Thanks to Master's strengthening and practitioners' selfless cooperation, the practitioner was successfully rescued in a very short of period of time. This shows the power of Dafa and the great strength of Dafa disciples working together as one body.
Master taught us in "Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles,"
"In any case, a cultivator must look at things as a cultivator should and with the mind of a cultivator, and absolutely cannot look at things with the mind of an ordinary person. Nothing you encounter is simple, accidental, or an ordinary thing. It must have to do with your cultivation and your improvement."
We looked inward and found bad attachments, including the attachment of fear, show-off mentality, and carelessness. The team had not truly formed a one-body, and the evil had found the loophole. The key issue was that we had not studied the Fa together and communicated well before the trip. We need to correct ourselves as we do the three things to advance and improve as one body.
Learning from these lessons, we organized a Fa study and sharing on January 27, 2014. We enlightened that we should not focus only on doing things, and should still keep moving ahead and not be intimidated by the tribulation.
The next day we took nearly 500 DVDs to distribute at a holiday market in another town. When we got there, it was like the people were waiting for us. As we started to distribute the DVDs, a middle-aged man shouted with a DVD in hand, “Falun Dafa is good!” His voice echoed down the streets. Another person who was selling lottery tickets said loudly to the people around him, “Hurry up and get the DVDs. They are really good.”
People came quickly to get the DVDs. So many people came that within 20 minutes, the discs were gone. We sent forth righteous thoughts on the way home to eliminate any evil factors interfering with people watching the DVDs and being saved.
Even today, the sound of "Falun Dafa is good" still rings in our ears. Thank you, compassionate Master!
