(Minghui.org) My aunt was aggressive and quick-tempered. But when Falun Gong was introduced to my village in 1996, she offered her house as a meeting place for practitioners to study the Fa, although she did not take up the practice herself.

Her in-laws were in poor health, and they heard that Falun Gong could help them. A few months later, her father-in-law recovered from a cerebral hemorrhage, and her mother-in-law's hands and feet regained flexibility after doing the exercises.

Around that time, my aunt started a business delivering gas tanks to restaurants in Beijing. She did not have much money, so she borrowed 5,000 yuan as capital. Since her in-laws had recovered their health, they were able to lend a hand. My aunt was very happy for their assistance.

Recovery from Attempted Suicide

My aunt had a fight with her husband. Out of anger, she overdosed on pills, fell into a coma, and was rushed to a hospital. Three days later, I went to her house to study the Fa and heard about what had happened from her mother-in-law.

My aunt looked pale. She feebly told me about the incident and said that she had been lying in the same position since she returned home because she lacked the strength to move. She felt very uncomfortable and wanted me to turn her over.

My aunt is heavy and tall, so I called in her mother-in-law to help. Before we were able to turn her over, she was already out of breath. I then rushed home to get the audiotapes of Master's lectures to play for her.

When I visited her the next morning, she said, “Falun Gong is amazing! After I finished listening to the first tape, I was able to push myself sideways in bed. After the third tape, I could turn myself over and felt much stronger.” From this experience, my aunt is even more steadfast in her conviction that the practice is good.

Standing Up to the Chinese Regime's Persecution

When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in 1999, we lost our practice environment, and we no longer gathered together to study, and my aunt's home became a target for harassment. Village staff and police often went there to harass her family.

One day when my aunt went to Beijing to deliver gas tanks, the local police took her father-in-law into custody and forced him to attend a brainwashing session to get him to renounce his faith. When my aunt returned and heard about it, she took me to look for him.

We knew where they detained Falun Gong practitioners. She confronted one of the police officers and said, "My father-in-law once had a stroke. He was confined to bed and couldn't work. After practicing Falun Gong, he regained his health. Now you've dragged him here—if he has any problems, you will pay for whatever happens to him.”

That frightened the police and the 610 Office staff. “You may get a car to take your old man home,” they said.

“I am not getting a car,” she responded. “You dragged him here, so you take him back.”

The 610 Office staff called the village party head to arrange for transportation. Her father-in-law and two other practitioners were taken home within half-an-hour.

A Brazen Rescue

After this incident, my aunt's in-laws experienced severe interference from other family members. One uncle kept telling them to give up Falun Gong to avoid more trouble from the government. Then, in October 2002, her mother-in-law passed away. My aunt arranged a big funeral and refused to listen to gossip about her mother-in-law.

On one occasion, two practitioners from another village visited me, and the police showed up to harass my family. Without any explanation, four to five officers attempted to take these two practitioners to the police station.

The commotion from our arguing with the police alerted my aunt. After finding out what was going on, she returned home to get her van and waved for the two practitioners to get inside.

While the police argued with me, the two practitioners hopped into the van. My aunt drove away.

When the police noticed the two practitioners were gone, they thought my house must have a secret underground passage. My mother-in-law saw what happened and joked with them, “You won't be able to find them. They flew away.” The police left.

Since then, my aunt's business is more prosperous than ever. It has expanded from delivering gas tanks to investment into public bathing facilities and real estate. Her assets have soared from zero to tens of millions of yuan. Her family is now known for their blessings and prosperity.
