(Minghui.org) Ms. Xu Shuzhi, Ms. Zhang Minfang, Ms. Zhang Xiaolan, and Ms. Gao Guizhi, from Jianping County in Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, were secretly tried by the Chaoyang Court on January 11, 2015. Ms. Xu and Ms. Zhang Minfang were sentenced to seven-year and six-year prison terms, respectively. Ms. Zhang Xiaolan and Ms. Gao were sentenced to three-year terms with three years of probation. They are all being held at the Chaoyang Detention Center.
The four practitioners were illegally arrested by officers from the Shenjing Police Station and Jianping County Domestic Security Division at around midnight on June 29, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to that police station.
The police ransacked the homes of Ms. Xu and Ms. Zhang Minfang the following morning. Ms. Gao was released at 3:00 p.m. because she had illness symptoms, and the other three were taken to the Chaoyang Women’s Holding Facility.
Ms. Gao was arrested again at home and taken to the Chaoyang Holding Facility on the morning of July 11, 2014. She was given an intravenous injection. That day, the other three were transferred to the Chaoyang City Detention Center because they refused to renounce their belief in Falun Gong.
The four practitioners were tried by the Chaoyang Court on the morning of December 17, 2014. Ms. Zhang Xiaolan and Ms. Gao were released that afternoon. The others were taken to the Chaoyang Women’s Detention Center after they refused to sign a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong.
