(Minghui.org) Calling organ harvesting in China “the worst-ever crime in human history,” Councillor John Hugh, from the Parramatta City Council in New South Wales, Australia, chimed in on an issue that many Australians are concerned with, after the airing of a primetime documentary on the nation's public television network, SBS One, on April 7, 2015.

Mr. Hugh directed some comments to the people involved in this state-sanctioned crime, “To those criminals who have committed such terrible crime. Maybe you were following an order. Will these terrible scenes, will your victims' last screams, and their eyes ever haunt you in your nightmares? Can you sleep well?”

“Dead men keep the secret forever. If you do not come forward and tell the world what you have done, do you even fear that your boss might shut you up forever?” he added.

Councillor John Hugh, from the Parramatta City Council, states that he knows that organ harvesting in China is state-sanctioned. The City of Parramatta is a local government area in the western region of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Mr. Hugh is no stranger to the issue of organ harvesting. He mentioned that the Chinese Consulate in Sydney intimidated him in May 2014, insisting that he not support claims regarding human organ harvesting made by Falun Gong practitioners, as one of the conditions for issuing his China visa.

“When the Chinese Consulate bullied me over my Chinese visa application, I had already formed my view that such crime is being committed in China,” he said. The SBS documentary further clarified that “such a terrible crime is not only committed by individuals, but the Chinese government is also involved.”

As someone who is originally from China, he also has some unique experiences related to the issue.

He recalled a class reunion in Shanghai in 2013. One of his classmates was an agent “helping” patients requiring organ transplants. He claimed to Mr. Hugh that he would be able to find a suitable organ quickly, and hinted that he would share his commission on any patient referrals.

“I knew straight away who the donors might be,” Mr. Hugh said. “Obviously, I will never refer him any potential clients.”

During his visit to Taiwan later, a mayor there told Mr. Hugh that organ harvesting was indeed happening. The mayor was a doctor himself.

“I don’t see any response from the Chinese Government other than denying without reasons. If they really don’t have anything to hide, why not let independent international investigators freely investigate in China,” Mr. Hugh questioned.
