(Minghui.org) The persecution of Falun Gong, which started in July 1999, is still ongoing. Falun Gong practitioners have suffered tremendously over the past 16 years, yet have maintained non-violent resistance throughout. They have not renounced their practice, and have never resorted to violence.

Many practitioners in China have recently started to file lawsuits against Jiang Zemin for his role in the persecution of Falun Gong.

Practitioners in Fa study groups have been sharing their understandings about this new trend. Some practitioners have exhibited the attachment to fear, the desire for comfort and the attachment to sentiment.

“We should sue Jiang. The worst scenario would be that we get arrested,” suggested some practitioners. Yet we felt that this thought was not righteous. Why should we even think of being arrested?

In my opinion, it is normal that we still have these types of human notions and attachments. If we haven't fully removed these impure thoughts during our cultivation, they will be exposed in various ways.

However we should pay great attention to sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate those impure thoughts while studying the Fa and doing the three things well.

Fighting Interference

When practitioners seek to take Jiang to court and demand justice, the CCP and the old forces will try to interfere and destroy our efforts. Therefore, practitioners should use our divine power – the power of sending righteous thoughts that Master gave practitioners – and eliminate the interference.

I suggest that practitioners pay attention to sending forth righteous thoughts while preparing to take Jiang to court.

Practitioners must let go of fear, the desire for comfort, attachment to sentiment, and all other interference within our dimensions and other dimensions.

Practitioners should also send forth righteous thoughts more often, making use of every available minute. In addition, sending forth righteous thoughts as a group before or after group Fa-study would be very effective.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
