(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lin Meifang's lawyer filed an administrative complaint against the Fuzhou City Police Department and the Fuzhou No. 2 Detention Center at the Gulou District Court on June 8, 2015. The case was to be heard on July 28, 2015.
In the complaint, the lawyer asked that the court
1. Overturn the Fuzhou City Police Department's denial to review Ms. Lin's case, and order the case to be reviewed in a timely manner.2. Bring disciplinary action against the Fuzhou No. 2 Detention Center for violation of Chinese law.
Prior Complaints Ignored or Not Considered
Ms. Lin was illegally arrested on April 13, 2015 and detained in the Fuzhou City No. 2 Detention Center. The detention center barred her lawyer from meeting with her.
Ms. Lin's lawyer filed a complaint with the Fuzhou Police Department, the Gulou Police Department Branch and the Fuzhou Procuratorate, but did not receive any response.
The lawyer and Ms. Lin's family members filed an administrative complaint with the Cangshan District Court in Fuzhou on May 7, against the Fuzhou No. 2 Detention Center, the Gulou Police Department Branch, the Fuzhou Procuratorate and the Fuzhou Appeals Office. No response received as of date.
The lawyer filed an administrative reconsideration of Ms. Lin's case with the Fuzhou City Police Department on May 13. However, he was notified on May 31, 2015 that the Fuzhou Police Department denied his application for administrative reconsideration.
