(Minghui.org) A practitioner shared at a group Fa study, “We are Falun Dafa practitioners, our every thought must be kind.” The practitioner shared the story of a practitioner who saw a young man dressed strangely. The practitioner had negative thoughts about the young man, and before long she was arrested while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. The practitioner looked inward and found that her thoughts about the young man were not kind. After she corrected herself she was released.

I was moved by this sharing and realized the importance of compassion. I paid attention to my thoughts. Here are a few of my stories.

Helping to Lift a Bike

I went to a supermarket. I heard a crashing noise and looked out the window. A bike had blown over in the strong wind. A bucket that had been in the basket of the bike was blowing away. I hurried outside and lifted the bike back upright. The owner of the bike ran over and picked up the bucket. He thanked me for my help. I said, “You are welcome.” I chatted with him and then explained the facts of the persecution of Falun Gong to him.

The man was touched and agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Youth League. He told me, “Some Falun Gong practitioners told me to quit, but I didn't. Today I am happy to do so.” I asked him if he liked to browse the Internet. He said he did, so I gave him a CD with a program to get around the CCP's firewall so that he could learn more about Falun Gong. I told him to remember, “Falun Dafa is great. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great.” He said, “sure” and thanked me again.

Anger Turns to Happiness

A fellow practitioner and I visited a tailor's stand in a small shopping district. I talked with the female shopkeeper about the benefits of practicing Falun Gong and the facts of the brutal persecution. She agreed to quit the CCP Youth League. A middle-aged man sitting behind her had listened as well. He appeared to be the owner of the stand so I asked him smiling, “Do you agree to quit the Party?” He snapped at me, “Why quit?”

I told him that the Party has conducted so many violent revolutions and killed over 80 million people. “Members of the party will face retribution along with it when it is disintegrated,” I said.

“I think the Party killed too few people. More people should be killed,” he spat at me.

“I only wish for you to have a safe future and I'm not asking you to kill people,” I said. “You know, corrupt officials have been moving huge amounts of money to other countries. Do you know why we are still poor though we work hard?”

He seemed a little shocked and then he relaxed. He finally chatted with me openly. At the end of our discussion I gave him an alias to quit the Party.

“I truly believe Falun Dafa is great.”

I was waiting for a bus to go home one day during the summer. Three people waiting for the bus asked me for directions. I told them to catch the last bus and then transfer to another bus at a certain stop to reach their destination. I knew these people had a predestined relationship with me. I decided to explain the facts of the persecution to them by taking the bus and getting off at the same stop.

We reached their stop half an hour later. I warmly guided them to get off the bus and to cross the street to the other side for the transfer. I gave the younger man software to get around the firewall on a CD and told him to browse websites after getting around the information blockage. He accepted it happily. I talked to another one of them about the worldwide spreading of Falun Gong and the facts of the persecution in China. He agreed to quit the Party with an alias. He then said to me, rather stunned, “You are amazing, you know two characters of my name. I truly believe Falun Dafa is great.”

I then talked with the elder man. He did not accept what I told him initially. The other one who had agreed to quit the Party said to him, “Listen, this young lady is so good. She stepped off the bus especially to give us directions.” The elder man then listened to my explanation. I truly wished that he would have a good future and explained the facts of the persecution to him. He was moved to tears and agreed to quit the Party with an alias. It seemed he had waited a long time for that moment.
