(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 20 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 36 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tongling City, Anhui Province] Five Practitioners Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin
Elderly Ms. Xu Yinghua and Ms. Zhang Jinzhi were arrested for suing Jiang Zemin.
Ms. Zhou Baoyun filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin in July 2015. She is being held in Guanshan Police Department for seven days.
Mr. Hong, in his 50s, and Ms. Li, both from Tongling County, were arrested in July 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. They are facing trial.

Ms. An Qihua was arrested at home on the afternoon of August 8, 2015. She was taken to the Xinzhou City Detention Center.
Ms. Wang Gaizhen, Mr. Zhang Quanheng, Mr. Zhao Jianguo, Ms. Zhang Fengying, and Ms. Liu Run'e were also detained in the Xinzhou City Detention Center. They were taken to a brainwashing center on the afternoon of August 24, 2015, after spending 15 days in the detention center.

Ms. Wei Yugui is being sent to court under trumped-up charges for her belief in Falun Gong.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Xing Fengling Detained
Ms. Xing Fengling, 50, from Anda City, Heilongjiang Provence was arrested at her rental home in the Majuqiao area, Tongzhou District, Beijing by officers from the Majuqiao Police Station on the afternoon of August 18, 2015. The police ransacked her rental home and confiscated Falun Dafa books. She is held in the Tongzhou Detention Center.

5. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Guo Zhihui from the Penghu District was tricked by officers from the Wenyinghu Police Station to come to the police station on the afternoon of August 18, 2015. Her family found out the next day that she was taken to the Wenyinghu Detention Center.
On the same day, Ms. Sun was arrested. When she shouted “Falun Gong is good!” the officers beat her.

6. [Leting County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Shanzhi and Mr. Zheng Hongbo Harassed
Ma Lianxin and other officers from the Guhe Township Police Station showed up at Mr. Zhang Shanzhi and Mr. Zheng Hongbo's homes on August 21, 2015. The officers harassed and threatened the two practitioners for suing Jiang Zemin, and took them to the police station for interrogation. The police forced them to sign a repentance statement and a guarantee statement. Both practitioners refused. They have since returned home.

7. [Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Detained
Mr. Huang Tao, Ms. Zou Xiuchuan, Mr. Zhang Xianchen, and Ms. Zhu Xiuming went to the rural Sijiazi area to distribute Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of August 20, 2015. They were intercepted by officers from the Sijiazi Police Station and arrested by officers from the Aihui District Police Department.
Ms. Zou and Ms. Zhu managed to escape at noon, but were arrested and handcuffed by officers from the Aihui District Police Department. The police ransacked Mr. Huang's home and confiscated a large number of Falun Gong materials.
The four practitioners are held in the Heihe City Detention Center. The police also threatened their families.

8. [Changzhi City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Chen Xiaoxia Detained
Ms. Chen Xiaoxia was arrested at home on August 20, 2015. She is detained for 15 days. Her husband was denied visits.
9. [Taigu County, Shanxi Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
The Taigu County Court sentenced Ms. Lei Caiying to three years in prison on August 20, 2015. She had been held for eight months.
Ms. Zhang Xiuhong, Ms. Cao Guiling, and Ms. Hu Xuehua were each sentenced to three years with probation. Ms. Zhang's car remains in police custody.
10. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Shouzhong and Ms. Pan Guichun Arrested
Mr. Zhang Shouzhong from Yuanhengguang Village and Ms. Pan Guichun from the No. 1 Group of Caiyuanmiao Village, in Huangyujuan Township, were arrested by Liu Peicheng, director of the Huangyujuan Township Police Station, and approximately six other officers on the evening of August 24, 2015. They were taken to the Nong'an County 610 Office. Mr. Zhang fell and injured his foot two weeks ago and cannot take care of himself.

11. [Tianjin] Mr. Han Zhijin Detained
Officers from the Zhendong Police Station, Yangliuqing Town, Xiqing District broke into Mr. Han Zhijin's home and arrested him on the morning of August 21, 2015. They confiscated a computer and Falun Gong books. He is held in the Xiqing District Detention Center.
12. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Honglan in Serious Condition in Prison
Ms. Liu Honglan was sentenced to five years in prison. She was transferred from the Jining Detention Center to the Jinan Women's Prison on July 2, 2015. She was taken to the Jinan Armed Police Hospital because she had symptoms of abdominal fluid retention and tuberculosis.
13. [Nanchang County, Jiangxi Province] Elderly Ms. Gu Pinghua Detained
Officers from the Nanchang County Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office broke into Ms. Gu Pinghua's home to ask if she filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin on August 11, 2015. They ransacked her home and confiscated three computers, several color inkjet printers, a laser printer, two DVD burners, several dozen copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, several copies of Zhuan Falun, a set of Recent Writings by the founder of Falun Gong, blank discs, currency bills with brief messages about Falun Gong written on them, other paper bills, and supplies and tools.
Ms. Gu is held in the Nanchang County Detention Center.

14. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Officers from the Dangyu Police Station arrested Ms. Lin Xiuling and Ms. Cai Chunhua recently for suing Jiang Zemin.
Officers from the Dongjiuzhai Police Station and the town's 610 Office broke into Ms. Yan Guoyan's home in Qihu Village to harass her on August 25, 2015. They demanded that she go to the police station. She refused.
Chen Guiping from Shengshuiyuan Village, Tiechang Town was babysitting her granddaughter at home on the morning of August 25, 2015. A group of officers from the Tiechang Police Station broke into her home to arrest her. The child was terrified and cried loudly. Ms. Chen was taken to the Police Department Detention Center.
That same day, officers from the Dongjiuzhai Police Station broke into Mr. Gao Mingchang's home in Wuhuling Village and arrested him. He was threatened in the police station. He had to sign a statement promising not to file a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin before he was released.

Mr. Zhu Baoyu and his wife Ms. Wang Shu'e from Kuancheng Manchu Autonomous County were arrested at home by officers from the Domestic Security Division and the Gangyaogou Village Police Station on the afternoon of August 24, 2015. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books and paper currency with messages about the persecution of Falun Gong written on it. The couple is held in the Huangyazi Detention Center.

16. [Luan County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Su Jia, deputy director of the Gucheng Police Station, and three other officers broke into Ms. Yuan Guolan's home and ransacked it on the morning of August 24, 2015. They confiscated Falun Gong books and copies of Minghui Weekly.
On the afternoon of the same day, the officers arrested Ms. Zhang Fuying at the photo studio where she works. They took Ms. Zhang to her home and ransacked it. They confiscated Falun Gong books, copies of Minghui Weekly, a computer, a monitor, and a keyboard.
The officers then arrested Ms. Wang Yuxia at home. They confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun and copies of Minghui Weekly.
The three practitioners were taken to the Gucheng Police Station for interrogation. Then they were taken to the Luan County Police Department where blood samples, fingerprints, and photographs of them were taken. They were brought home by their families after six o’clock that evening.

Ms. Guan Suofen was arrested at home by officers from the Qizhi Police Station on the morning of August 25, 2015. She was taken to the Gongnongjie Women's Prison in the Daoli District, Harbin City.
20. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Zhu Li, director of the Helong Town Police Station, and several dozen other officers smashed the metal security door to break into Ms. Yang Zhonghong's home on the evening of August 24, 2015. They arrested Ms. Yang, her daughter Ms. Li Xiang (a freshman in college), Mr. Zhang Zhongliang, and his wife Ms. Duan Lijing. The four practitioners have been held in the police station.
Officers from the Liujia Township Police Station arrested Mr. Yue Guoming on August 3, 2015. They confiscated about 20 Falun Gong books. Mr. Yue was forced to sign a guarantee statement promising not to practice Falun Gong before he was released.
21. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Luan Yicai Detained
Mr. Luan Yicai was arrested by patrol officers while he was distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the evening of August 20, 2015. He is being held in the Beibu Detention Center.
22. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ge Xiumei Arrested
Ms. Ge Xiumei was arrested by officers from the Chengde City Domestic Security Division on August 25, 2015.
23. [Anyang County, Henan Province] Mr. Cui Duande Harassed
Mr. Cui Duande was harassed on August 14, 2015. His home was ransacked.
24. [Tianjin] Ms. Yuan Mingzhen Arrested
Ms. Yuan Mingzhen was arrested by officers from the Xiyingmen Police Station, Xiqing District on the evening of August 20, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, a computer, a printer, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, and Falun Gong informational materials.

25. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jian Detained
Huang Yong and several other officers from the Xingwangzhai Township Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Jian's home in Xingwangzhai Village and ransacked it on the morning of July 29, 2015. They confiscated two copies of Zhuan Falun, an MP3 player, an MP5 player, Falun Gong informational materials, and a case of DVDs that belonged to his son with no Falun Gong content on them.
Dong Guofeng, other officers from the Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Xingwangzhai Township Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Jian's home again at noon on August 13. They took photos and arrested Mr. Wang who was working at home at the time. Mr. Wang was first taken to the police station and then to the Zunhua Detention Center.
