(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 21 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 were illegally arrested.

1. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Cui Detained
Ms. Jiang Cui and another practitioner surnamed Miao were arrested and taken to the Beigou Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of September 5, 2016. Miao was released that evening at around 10 p.m. Ms. Jiang was detained.
2. [Ningde City, Fujian Province] Ms. Ruan Aiyin Arrested
As soon as Ms. Ruan Aiyin opened her door in the early morning of September 1, 2016, officers from the Ningde City Domestic Security Division who had waited outside her home forced their way in. They arrested her. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials.
3. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Qifang and Ms. Liu Xiuying Detained
Ms. Liu Xiuying, Ms. Zhou Qifang, Ms. Zhang Jingyu, and Mr. Yang Xingyi were reported for talking to people about Falun Gong at noon on August 26, 2016. Later, Ms. Liu and Ms. Zhou were taken to the Pengzhou City Cancer Hospital for a physical examination. They were released at 2 a.m. Four police officers and a village head ransacked Ms. Zhou's home the following day. They confiscated several Falun Gong books.
4. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Zhongying Detained
Seven officers from the Xicheng Town Police Station in Qixia City went to Ms. Li Zhongying's home in Chugezhuang Village on August 28, 2016. They ransacked the place and confiscated all Falun Gong books, copies of Minghui Weekly, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. On September 1, the police officers arrested Ms. Li, took her to the Xiaozhuang Police Station, then transferred her to the Zhaoyuan Detention Center.

5. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Xie Yiqiang's Whereabouts Unknown
Mr. Xie Yiqiang was arrested on the evening of September 4, 2016. His whereabouts are unknown.
6. [Xuyi County, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Married couple Ms. Zhang Yongzhen (55 years old) and Mr. Ye Yuhong (49 years old), and Ms. Zhang Zuoye (65 years old) were arrested on the evening of September 4, 2016. They were held in the Domestic Security Division of the Shiliying Police Station.
Ms. Zhang Zuoye was released the following evening. She has remained under surveillance. The daughter of Ms. Zhang Yongzhen and Mr. Ye Yuhong was told that her parents were detained.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Feng Detained
Mr. Liu Feng was arrested at home by officers from the Yong'anqiao Police Station on August 30, 2016. He was held in the Weizigou Detention Center for 10 days.
8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qu Guixian and Ms. Liu Yumei Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Qu Guixian was sentenced to four years in prison and Ms. Liu Yumei to three years for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime, who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. Both practitioners are incarcerated in the Dalian Detention Center.
9. [Zhangping City, Fujian Province] Ms. Lin Youmei Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Lin Youmei was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on the evening of July 29, 2015. She was taken to the Zhangping City Detention Center on July 31, 2015. She appealed after she was sentenced to prison. The court upheld the original sentence during the second trial at the end of August 2016
10. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ge Jianzhen Detained
Ms. Ge Jianzhen was held in the Jimo Detention Center.
11. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Practitioner Xu's Whereabouts Unknown
A practitioner surnamed Xu was arrested at home by seven officers from the Yangquan Police Department and the Honglingwan Police Station on the afternoon of August 28, 2016. The officers ransacked the place and confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials. Xu's whereabouts are unknown.
12. [Lishui City, Zhejiang Province] Three Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center
Officers from the Lishui City Police Department and several people from the residential community broke into the homes of Ms. Chen Suying, Ms. Zeng Jinqiu, and Ms. Shen Yanxia on the morning of August 22, 2016, and arrested them. The three practitioners were taken to a brainwashing center. They have not yet returned.
13. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Qiu Shanmei Held in the Fujian Women's Prison
It has been reported that Ms. Qiu Shanmei is being subjected to brainwashing in the Nanyu Women's Prison.
Practitioners known to have been held in the prison include:Practitioners from Fuzhou City: Ms. Qiu Shanmei, Ms. Zou Xinqin, Ms. Zhao Fenglan (held in the No. 1 Ward in the No. 2 Division), and Ms. Li Yaping (held in the No. 1 Ward in the No. 1 Division).
Practitioners from Nanping City: Ms. Chen Ximei and Ms. Hu Aijiao.
Practitioners from Fu'an City: Ms. Lin Xiuju, Ms. Gao Su, and Ms. Huang Julan.
Ms. Wang Chun, from Shaowu City, is being held in the No. 17 Ward in the No. 20 Division.
14. [Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Yang Fengyan and Ms. Duan Xiuyun Detained
Ms. Yang Fengyan and Ms. Duan Xiuyun were arrested in Xinghe County, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia, on the morning of August 31, 2016. Both practitioners are detained in the Ulanqab City Detention Center for one month of criminal detention. Officers from the Xinghe County Police Department ransacked Ms. Yang's home and confiscated a large amount of Falun Gong materials.
Ms. Yang is from Liangjietai Village, Dukoubao Township, Huai'an County, Hebei Province. Ms. Duan is from Pingyuanpu Village, Dayingpan Township, Tianzhen County, Shanxi Province.
15. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Hao Lin and Ms. Zhang Minghong Detained
Ms. Hao Lin and Ms. Zhang Minghong from Wuhou District were reported when they hung Falun Gong informational banners on August 27, 2016. They were arrested by officers from the Xilingxueshan Police Station. Both practitioners were held in the Dayi Detention Center for 14 days.

16. [Anyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Hui Taken to Prison
The Beiguan District Court secretly sentenced Ms. Li Hui to prison at the end of September 2015, for filing a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin.
Ms. Li’s husband, fearful of the CCP, did not dare to tell the truth to Ms. Li’s relatives and friends. He pretended that she was applying for a passport. Ms. Li’s relatives and friends recently learned that she was imprisoned in the Xinxiang Women’s Prison.
17. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Mr. Zhou Xiqiong and His Wife Arrested Again
Mr. Zhou Xiqiong and his wife Li Ying from Linquan County were arrested again by Zhang Lei from the Linquan County Domestic Security Division on August 21, 2016. Mr. Zhou was taken to the Linquan Detention Center and Ms. Li to the Fuyang Detention Center.
Their 19-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son had to drop out of school and find jobs to support the family.
Zhang Lei also threatened Mr. Zhou’s relatives, friends, and neighbors. As a result, they did not dare to help the couple harvest the crops in their field.
The couple was arrested on June 15, 2016, because they filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin. They were released after being held for 10 days. Zhang Lei continues to harass Ms. Li.
