(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 were illegally arrested.

Ms. Huang Yuanju was arrested on October 21, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong.
2. [Xianyou County, Fujian Province] Several Practitioners Face Persecution for Suing Jiang Zemin
Several practitioners have been persecuted in various ways for suing Jiang Zemin, former head of the communist regime who launched and directed the persecution of Falun Gong,
Ms. Zheng Senhua was detained for 15 days. Her salary was decreased by one level for holding onto her belief in Falun Gong. She has remained under 24 hour surveillance at her workplace and home.
Ms. Shi Liying, a retired teacher, was detained for 10 days.
Mr. Zheng Zhihua and Ms. Lin Xue'e, who work at a supermarket, were harassed over the phone several times. They were questioned about their lawsuits against Jiang Zemin and taken to the police station for interrogation with written notes.
Ms. Lin Fengqin, near 70, was harassed and threatened by Licheng Neighborhood officials after she sued Jiang Zemin. Soon afterwards, she fell ill and passed away at a hospital.

3. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Ms. Hao Wanling and Ms. Yin Yanfeng Detained
Ms. Hao Wanling and Ms. Yin Yanfeng were arrested by officers from the Shanghewan Police Station on the afternoon of October 20, 2016. Both practitioners were taken to the Majiagangzi Detention Center for 10 days of detention.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Duan Shouzhen Arrested
Ms. Duan Shouzhen was arrested on October 15, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong in Wuhan City. Her whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Rongqing Harassed
Three officers from the Chengnan Police Station in Yunmeng County broke into 73-year-old Ms. Chen Rongqing's home on the afternoon of October 20, 2016, to question about her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. They harassed her for over an hour and forcibly took her fingerprints.

6. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Li Haicheng and Wife Ms. Liu Hongbo Forced to Quit Their Jobs and Leave Home
Mr. Li Haicheng, an employee of the Nanchang No. 15 Middle School, was held in custody three times for practicing Falun Gong.
After he filed his lawsuit against Jiang Zemin to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Procuratorate in 2015, he was persecuted by the Nanchang City 610 Office. He was ordered to write a statement and sign some paperwork.
As a result, Mr. Li and his wife Ms. Liu Hongbo had to quit their jobs and left home on August 31. 2016.
7. [Linjiang City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cao Yulan Detained
Ms. Cao Yulan was arrested at home by officers led by Shi Dengfeng, head of the Linjiang City Domestic Security Division, on the morning of October 21, 2016. She was taken to the Baishan Detention Center to serve a five-day detention.
8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Detained
Ms. Zhang Fenglian from Daciyi Village, Zengcun Town, Gaocheng District, was arrested by officers from the Zhangjiazhuang Town Police Station for hanging banners in Xiaotun Village, Zhangjiazhaung Town, on October 19, 2016. She is being held in the Gaocheng District Detention Center.
Ms. Wang Yuexia, Mr. Yang Jinkui, and Mr. Zhang Minghua from Yangma Village, Zengcun Town, were arrested by officers from the Xiguan Town Police Station for hanging banners and distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Xiguang Town. Ms. Wang was taken to the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Yang and Mr. Zhang are being held in the Gaocheng District Detention Center.
9. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Jiaming Detained
Ms. Li Jiaming and Ms. Wang Shuqing were arrested and taken to the Xiangyang District Police Department by two officers on the afternoon of October 21, 2016, for handing out desktop calendars that contained information about Falun Gong. They were then transferred to the Guangming Police Station.
The police ransacked both practitioners' homes that day and confiscated Falun Gong books and other personal belongings. Ms. Wang was released that night. Ms. Li was taken to the Hegang City Detention Center.
