(Minghui.org) I was once told a story about how a person took the initiative to correct other people's misunderstandings about Falun Gong after she learned the truth about the practice.
Ms. Wang had a child who was ill in hospital. She went to visit her child and noticed that other patients and their family members were talking negatively about Falun Gong. It was clear that they had a lot of misunderstandings about the practice.
She heard one person say: “There's no point in practicing Falun Gong. They claim that they can go to Heaven, but they commit suicide and burn themselves. One woman jumped into a river with her child. How cruel is that! Why would anyone want to learn such a practice?”
Another said, “I watched the self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square on TV. It was very upsetting.”
Ms. Wang spoke up and told them, “You've been deceived by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Falun Gong practitioners are not how you described. They are good people, and they cherish life! My neighbor practices Falun Gong. She is very kind. I once told her that I was miserable and felt suicidal. She helped me overcome my bad state.”
“What you saw on TV is not true,” Ms. Wang continued. “My neighbor told me that the self-immolation incident was staged. Think about it: the person was on fire, but the plastic bottle between his legs was not touched by the flames!? It was all staged. You can’t trust the CCP's reports. We need to listen to Falun Gong practitioners and not be deceived by the lies in the media. Otherwise, we will have regrets.”
The room went quiet. A woman then spoke out and said that she wanted to learn Falun Gong.
When people learn the facts about Falun Gong, they will be happy to share the truth with others.
We Must Tell People About Falun Gong to Truly Save Them
Teacher said:
“...the three withdrawals aren’t the goal, but rather, it’s to save the person by clarifying the facts to him or her.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2016 New York Fa Conference”)
As Falun Gong practitioners in the Fa-rectification period, our responsibility is to save people and the beings they represent. Some practitioners ask people to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, but don't tell them about the practice of Falun Gong or the persecution. As a result, people don't get to learn the truth about Falun Gong.
I had this problem in the past: I wanted to help people quit the CCP but did not take the time to tell them about Falun Gong. We need to truly save people. Once they learn the truth about the practice, they will choose a bright future for themselves and tell others what they've learned.
