(Minghui.org) I was incarcerated in a forced labor camp for my faith in Falun Gong, and was brutally tortured.
After returning home over a year later, I found out that my husband was having affairs with several women. My family pressured me to stop practicing Falun Gong, and my work unit laid me off.
My solid faith in Falun Gong, however, helped me break through one tribulation after another, and my situation took a very positive turn. My family environment has greatly improved, and I have also landed a regular job. It was as if layers and layers of dark clouds had cleared away to reveal a sunny day.
I was incarcerated in a forced labor camp for more than a year because I refused to renounce my faith in Falun Gong. While there, I was forced to do manual labor, stand for a long period of time, and was deprived of the right to use the toilet and sleep.
In the winter, I was made to lie down naked on a tile floor. The guards shocked me with electric batons, struck me, and locked me up in a solitary confinement unit for over two weeks.
I was not given access to menstrual pads, and was never given enough food to eat. When I went on hunger strikes to protest, I was forced fed various substances, including some unknown drugs.
After I returned home from labor camp, I found out that my husband was dating at least three women. Every time I explained to him that it was wrong to have extramarital relationships, he would deny it and then beat me.
Once, he even cut my face with a knife.
Letting go of my human emotions, I talked to the three women and told them the facts about Falun Gong.
One of them was my husband’s coworker. I told her about the torture that I suffered in the forced labor camp, and how doing the Falun Gong exercises helped me recover physically. I told her to remember “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Another woman lived in our neighborhood. I went to talk to her, and explained to her why it was wrong to have extramarital affairs and how it may hurt our respective children. I was ready to forgive them. My compassion finally dissolved the tribulation, and they broke up soon after.
This process helped me eliminate many human sentiments. I learned to treat family members as normal people, and I am now able to endure the toughest hardships.
It was just like what Teacher said in Zhuan Falun,
“When it’s difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it’s impossible to do, you can do it.”
After being laid off, I went to talk to my work unit numerous times, explaining to them the facts about Falun Gong, and how innocent people were being wrongfully persecuted by the government. Each time I asked to resume my job, they refused to do so unless I renounced my faith.
So I began to look for other jobs, but I never forgot to tell people about Falun Gong along the way. The businesses I worked for soon began to prosper, and the owners ended up wanting to hire more Falun Gong practitioners.
In sales, I was always the top seller in my team. I strictly followed one principle – Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance – in measuring my actions and thoughts, and I never competed with others for personal gain.
When I consider my customers’ benefits before mine, I earn their trust and their business.
I have also witnessed the magical power of Falun Gong. A ninety-two-year old man, whom I was taking care of, could hear again after I played some Falun Gong lecture recordings to him. He was very grateful.
A woman trusted me to clean her house for her, because I always did a very good job and never took anything from her house. She read Zhuan Falun when I introduced the book to her, and her entire family quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Her father-in-law, an army retiree, had refused to talk about Falun Gong before. With my help, he quit the CCP. Everyone in the family was very respectful of Falun Gong.
My father abused me physically and verbally when I was very young. I lived in horror, and even wanted to kill myself. To escape from that environment, I married early. Fortunately, I learned Falun Gong, which purified my body and mind.
When my father came to see me, I knew that it was my opportunity to tell him about Falun Gong, so I must treat him with compassion and take good care of him. However, he cursed and sometimes beat me just like he did before. He was never happy with me.
But when I found it too hard to endure, Teacher Li’s poem came to my rescue:
“How many know that everything has its cause?It’s Atheism that harms people deeply.”(Hong Yin III)
I understood why my father came and stayed with me, and continued treating him with compassion and tolerance. After that, he changed. He even learned to say “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He listened to the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and became physically healthy.
My father and others in my family had wanted me to stop practicing Falun Gong before. I learned that if I did poorly, their demon nature will become more dominant, so I have to help them by doing a good job cultivating myself.
Thanks to Falun Gong, my father and I get along very well now, and I also have a regular job. None of this would have been possible if I had not followed the teachings of Falun Gong.
I am very grateful for everything that Falun Gong has given me and my family.
