(Minghui.org) Many people practice Falun Gong in Bali, and there are practice sites throughout the island where practitioners meet to do the Falun Gong exercises and study the teachings of Falun Gong together. Practitioners also reach out to the local residents and tourists to introduce this ancient cultivation practice and raise awareness of the nearly 17-year persecution of Falun Gong in China, where the practice originated.

From March 4 to March 6, volunteer coordinators from more than 60 practice sites in Bali got together to share their experiences and insights in their role as coordinators. Some volunteer coordinators are veteran practitioners, while others are relatively new. They looked forward to improving their understandings of Dafa's principles with three days of group study and sharing.

More than 100 coordinators were able to attend the meeting. They discussed ways to better introduce Falun Gong and clarify the truth to locals and tourists, especially visitors from China. The coordinators also studied the teachings of Falun Gong and shared thoughts and ideas about how they can improve their personal character and better help new practitioners at their local sites.

The practitioners did the exercises together on the shores of Lake Batur on the morning of March 5. Their peaceful exercises caught the attention of some of the local residents. Several learned the exercises and bought copies of Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Gong.

On March 6 the volunteer coordinators gathered at different tourist destinations to introduce Falun Gong and further expose the persecution in China.

After learning about the brutal persecution of innocent practitioners in China, many local people expressed their sympathy.

Other activities to introduce Falun Gong took place in Kintamani.
