July 27, 2016 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Shandong Province

(Minghui.org) Eleven Rizhao residents were arrested in one day and detained for up to 15 days for filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin. They were accusing the former Chinese dictator of initiating the persecution of Falun Gong that resulted in their past detentions.

The local 610 Office, an extra-legal agency tasked with eradicating Falun Gong, ordered the police sweep on June 24.

Mr. Guo Xin, a teacher at Shandong Water Conservancy Vocational Institute, was at work when a group of officers came in and arrested him in front of students and faculty.

Mr. Zhou Degang was tending to his tea shop when police broke in and took him into custody.

Around the same time, Mr. Zhao Ping was seized from his cell phone shop.

Eight other practitioners were also arrested on June 24, and they include: Ms. Xu Xuemei, Ms. Tian Furong, Ms. Yang Xiujuan, Ms. Piao Ruie, Ms. Wang Weirong, Ms. Liu Weiyan, Ms. Dai Guilian, and Ms. Zhu Lixia.

Except for Ms. Zhu who was detained for 5 days, all of the other 10 practitioners were given a 15-day detention period. They have been released at the time of the writing.

The local police targeted another practitioner one week later, arresting Ms. Zhu Xiuxia (no relation to aforementioned Ms. Zhu) and giving her a 15-day detention.

None of the arrested practitioners was given any formal detention paperwork to sign.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other members of the Politburo Standing Committee and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Communist regime established an extralegal security organization, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows its citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
