(Minghui.org) A Lanzhou City physician was arrested for the eighth time on May 23 of this year. Ms. Lu Yuying, 52, had been repeatedly targeted for her faith since July 1999 when the Chinese communist regime launched the persecution of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Though released hours following her latest arrest, Ms. Lu never got her confiscated personal belongings, valued at more than 20,000 yuan, back from the police.

Ms. Lu is a doctor specializing in burn treatment and has her own private practice. Because she refused to renounce Falun Gong, the local police arrested her seven times between May 2000 and March 2012, ransacking her home and clinic, and detaining her up to 4 months each time.

She was given one year of forced labor in February 2002. She went on a hunger strike for 27 days to protest the illegal detention and was brutally force fed. The police released her ahead of schedule after she was in critical condition.

The local health bureau was ordered to confiscate Ms. Yu’s medical license and her inventory of medicine and equipment on March 14, 2012. Less than one year later, the health bureau returned to confiscate her medical supplies again.

Ms. Yu filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin on June 17, 2015. She holds the former Chinese dictator responsible for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong that resulted in her repeated arrests and disruption of her private practice.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 17 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
