(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wen Ying was illegally arrested at her home in Dalian City on June 28, 2016. She is being held at Dalian Detention Center. Her arrest was approved by the authorities on July 22 and she is awaiting trial.
A total of 101 residents from 9 cities in Liaoning Province were arrested on June 28. The mass arrests across the province were orchestrated by the 610 Office.
Officers from the Dagushan Police Station waited outside Ms. Wen's home in the Economic and Technological Development Zone at around 4:30 a.m. on June 28.
When Ms. Wen opened the door at around 9:00 a.m. to take out the trash, about a dozen plainclothes officers burst in and handcuffed her and her son.
They ransacked her home and confiscated her laptop, two cellphones, Falun Dafa books and other personal belongings. They also confiscated her son's tablet computer and his three cellphones.
Ms. Wen and her son were taken to the police station and interrogated. Her son was released that night ,and his belongings were returned to him on July 23.
Ms. Wen has been persecuted many times since the Chinese Communist Party started the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999. She has been detained four times and incarcerated in forced labor camps twice.
