(Minghui.org) Several years ago, when several other practitioners and I were doing a project together, we were arrested because the police tracked our cell phones. We were taken to separate cells in the police station.

However, we all held strong righteous thoughts and did our best to tell the officers how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted Falun Gong and to explain why they should quit CCP. All we thought about was saving as many people as we could. In one day, I persuaded eleven officers to quit the CCP.

One of them was the station director. When he came to get my confession, I said, “Please do not participate in the persecution. We're simply following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to be good. Don't blindly follow Jiang Zemin to persecute innocent people. That's not a good idea, because doing evil will ultimately bring karmic retribution. Please quit the CCP, and you will be blessed.”

Before I finished speaking, he shouted in front of two other policemen, “How dare you talk about quitting the CCP in front of me? Do you know where you are?” I told him quietly, “I'll continue after those two leave.” I begged Master to give me a chance to save him.

The two policemen soon left the room. He turned to me and said, “I've been tough on Falun Gong practitioners for over 10 years, but I know you're all good people. But I'm a police officer, and I have to obey orders. That’s my job.”

I said, “Do you know the history of the Party? To avoid responsibility for the Cultural Revolution, they killed many police officers who carried out their superiors’ orders to kill innocent people. I don't want to be a scapegoat for the Party, and I don’t think you do, either. Why don’t you quit with a pseudonym?”

He said, “No, I'll quit with my real name.”

That policeman really understood. From that point on, he tried his best to protect practitioners.

That same night, two other practitioners and I were locked in a room where officers came and went frequently. Whenever they came in, we clarified the truth to them. Usually we tried to avoid the police, but that day we weren’t frightened of them at all—we just wanted to try to save as many of them as possible.

One time, I asked two officers if they had ever heard that quitting the CCP would bring them blessings.

They said they had, so I asked them, “Have you done it?”

“I've run into many Falun Gong practitioners and think you're all sincere,” one of them replied.

“You blindly follow Jiang Zemin's persecution campaign and arrest good people, so aren't you doing something bad? He and his accomplices will eventually incur retribution. Please quit the Party now to save yourselves,” I urged them.

“We came from another precinct. I want to quit, but I don't know how,” the other said.

“Simply say, sincerely, that you want to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.”

They did so right away.

Another policeman who didn’t look very nice came in and stood right in front of me. Before I could speak, he asked, “How can I quit the CCP?”

I asked, “Do you know why you should quit?”

He said, “I read all the materials you made, but I never thought about quitting. But, since so many of colleagues are quitting the CCP today, I want to do the same. My life is more important than these orders.”

The next day, I started to send forth righteous thoughts, “This not the place for me. I should leave here, because there are more sentient beings waiting to be saved.”

Two days later, another practitioner and I were released.

While we were detained, we three practitioners helped 30 police officers quit the CCP. I realized that all we need to do is to hold enough righteous thoughts and just do it.
