(Minghui.org) The Huijiang District Procuratorate of Baishan City has brought charges against local Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Liu Guanghai and his wife Ms. Li Yan.
Ms. Li was notified on January 13 that the couple's case had been submitted to the local court and she was to report to the court on the 16th. Mr. Liu is currently detained at the Heigou Detention Center and has been in solitary confinement for the past three months.
The couple were arrested on September 12, 2016 by police officers from Xinjian Police Department. The police ransacked their home and confiscated three printers, two DVD burners, and cash.
Ms. Li was released on bail the next day. She was forced to sign a document on September 16, 2016 by personnel from the district procuratorate and was told not to leave town.
Her family faces financial difficulty, as Mr. Liu's small business was their only source of income. Ms. Li, their two children, and his paralyzed mother who lives with them have been closely monitored since his arrest. Ms. Li and their older daughter are closely followed by plainclothes policemen.
It's been confirmed that including Mr. Liu, 11 local practitioners were arrested from September 12 to 13, 2016.
