(Minghui.org) Five practitioners and I drove to the countryside to hand out Falun Dafa materials and clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. Fortunately, when I ran out of materials another practitioner had enough left for people at the end of the village.
That practitioner asked me if I had any attachment to showing off the next day. I explained to her that I did not have that mentality, that I was just out of materials. She admitted that she did not hand them out because she held fear.
I looked within and found that the attachments of showing off and validating myself were deeply hidden. I appreciated her saying something because it helped me find my shortcomings. Going forward, we cooperated with and encouraged each other to cast off many of our human notions.
Other practitioners and I have been clarifying the truth about Dafa to most of the city folks in the past few years. We then decided to deliver materials and clarify the truth to people in the countryside and other far away places.
The people in one of those areas had been deeply poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda. At the beginning, some refused to listen to us, while some refused to take our materials, claiming that they could not read. Some even called the police.
Another practitioner and I had just left a mountain area and saw a police vehicle driving towards us. I realized that someone had called the police. I sent righteous thoughts to deny the evil. We shouted: “Master save us!”
Shortly after, we passed through a village, and I immediately turned into an alley. We entered a house and although the lady of the house wanted us to leave, the man allowed us to stay. We could talk to the couple about Dafa before we left in the afternoon. Without any further problems, we arrived safely at home.
Although it was a rainy day, I went out to talk to people about Dafa. A house owner allowed me to put my motorcycle inside his house. I told that family about Dafa and helped them quit the CCP.
I then went door to door, although it started raining even harder. I met up with a group of people who sheltered under a roof. This was a great opportunity to talk about Dafa.
I then went to another house. There were seven to eight people playing cards and I helped them quit the CCP.
A man came out of a room and shouted: “Why are you doing this at your young age? I would normally call to report you!”
“I am not a bad person,” I said. “I came to tell them the truth and help them do a good thing. Which part of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is not good?The man changed his attitude and told me with a smile that he would not report me. There were 45 people who learned the truth.
I clarified the truth to a CCP party member. He told me that Falun Gong is good and there must be some sages among Falun Gong practitioners. He agreed to watch over a poster that read “Falun Dafa is good” on an electricity pole. I told him that whoever read these words or recited them would have good rewards.
The Fa-study group in my area has been meeting for five years. We have overcome obstacles to form our materials production centers. We go one evening a week to the countryside to distribute materials. Besides some of us go to the village where we handed out Dafa materials to clarify the truth face to face. The results were very good.
Six of us practitioners went to a far-away village to talk about Dafa last year and two of us got arrested.
Some practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts to strengthen the determination of the arrested practitioners. Some practitioners accompanied the family members of the arrested practitioners to clarify the truth at the police station.
One arrested practitioner refused to cooperate with the evil, and the detention center refused to take him. He was released.
The other arrested practitioner signed a form indicating that she would be detained for 15 days. Practitioners went to the detention center to talk to her and told her that she should not accept the persecution. She regained righteous thoughts and said she would do better. Six days later, she was released.
We went to that village three times that week and talked to the person who called the police. Another practitioner wrote a letter and we distributed it to every home in that and nearby villages.
We were told that the person who called the police had received many truth-clarification letters from different areas of China. When his friend received a letter, he told him to never report a practitioner ever again.
Several coordinators and technical practitioners were given long prison sentences in 2009. Almost every coordinator was persecuted.
Thus, we lacked practitioners who could print Shen Yun DVD covers. When I saw the standard Shen Yun DVD cover produced by other practitioners, I wished we could do that too, Soon after I had this wish, the Minghui website published a lecture on how to print Shen Yun DVD covers.
I decided to become a coordinator and asked some practitioners to join me. This would free up skilled practitioners to do the technical work.
However, we had too many human notions that prevented us from doing a better job of coordination. Practitioner Yi (alias) was young, knowledgeable, and skillful. She and I were at odds with each other, and many things did not achieve a good result.
I thought about resigning as coordinator and leaving the area. However, Master kept giving me hints, and I realized that I should instead raise my xinxing. I felt a lot of pressure.
I asked myself why can I pass through such severe persecution, but not let go of this human notion. Was I a cultivator?
Master said:
“In this situation, cultivation is indeed hard, and it’s even harder to maintain righteous thoughts. But it is precisely because things are this way that your human attachments can show themselves. Those who do well will progress in a positive direction, while those who do poorly, or who don’t look within, will go in the opposite direction.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2014 San Francisco Fa Conference”)
I decided to look inside instead of outside, and not look at the other practitioner’s shortcomings.
I completely let go of my old notions and was no longer attached to what fellow practitioners should do.
