(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 were illegally arrested.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Sun Tongqing Given a Five-Year Prison Term
Mr. Sun Tongqing was arrested on May 6, 2016 when he went to the Harbin Boats and Ships Electronic World to assemble computers. He was later sentenced to five years in prison by the Shuangcheng Court.

2. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Huijuan Arrested
Ms. Yang Huijuan was arrested at home on February 14, 2017.
3. [Ningcheng County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Four Practitioners Detained
Ms. Liu Caiying from Xinglongjie Village, Xizi Town, was arrested by 12 officers from the Ningcheng County Domestic Security Division, the Xizi Town Police Station, and the Erlong Police Station on March 1, 2017. She was taken to the Ningcheng County Detention Center.
Ms. Zhao Suzhen, Mr. Yang Yulong, Mr. Zhao Gang, and Mr. Zhao Gang's wife, all from Xinglongdi Village, Xizi Town, were arrested by officers at noon on March 2, 2017 for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime, who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. Each practitioner was extorted 1,000 yuan. Mr. Zhao Gang's wife was released that day because she had a young child at home. The other three practitioners were taken to the detention center.
4. [Beijing] Ms. Wei Junru Detained
Ms. Wei Junru from the Xicheng District was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of February 24, 2017. She was arrested by officers from the Liqiao Police Station, Shunyi District. She is held in the Nihe Detention Center, Shunyi District.
5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Aiji Given a Three-Year Prison Term
Ms. Yu Aiji, an employee at the Power Station of the Jilin Province Oil Field, was given a three-year prison term in March 2017. She was dismissed from her job.
6. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhu Xinhe and Mr. Zhang Shouying Arrested
Mr. Zhu Xinhe and Mr. Zhang Shouying from Luocheng Neighborhood were reported for posting Falun Gong materials on the afternoon of January 22, 2017. They were arrested and their homes were ransacked by the local police. Both practitioners were released in the afternoon the following day.
7. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Du Yunlian Detained
Ms. Du Yunlian was arrested by officers from the Nanguan Police Station on the afternoon of February 17, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong. The officers confiscated 500 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them. Ms. Du was taken to the Ducun Detention Center for 15 days of detention.
8. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Huang Shenghua Taken to Hospital
Mr. Huang Shenghua from Chengzi Town was arrested by officers from the Matou Town Police Station, Ruichang City, on the morning of February 24, 2017. He was taken to the Jiujiang City No. 1 Hospital due to abuse during his custody. No family visits were allowed.
9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Cao Jian Taken to Brainwashing Center
Mr. Cao Jian was arrested in early February. He was taken to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center.
10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Yumei Arrested
Ms. Yang Yumei, 50, was arrested on February 22, 2017.
11. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Quanhong Detained
Mr. Wang Quanhong from Dazhai Township, Xingcheng City, was arrested at home on March 3, 2017. He is held in the Caozhuang Detention Center, Xingcheng City.

12. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Detained
Ms. Tang Suyun, Ms. Liu Cuimei, Ms. Cai Guiyan, and Ms. Dai Ping from the Binhai New Area were reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of March 3, 2017. They were arrested and taken to the Jinzhou Detention Center by officers from the Xingshan Neighborhood Police Station.

13. [Chongqing] Ms. Luo Daoying Arrested
Officers from the Rongchang District 610 Office, the Police Department, the State Security Division, and the local police station broke into Ms. Luo Daoying's store and arrested her on the afternoon of March 3, 2017. She was released that day.
14. [Shou County, Anhui Province] Ms. Liu Bao and Ms. Teng Yumei Detained
Ms. Liu Bao and Ms. Teng Yumei were arrested on July 3, 2016. They have been held in custody ever since.
