(Minghui.org) My 90 year-old mother started practicing Falun Dafa in 1999. She decided to join the practice after witnessing my recovery from serious illnesses just one month after starting this cultivation practice.

Resolving Severe Interference

Mother was doing well throughout her years of practice, until August 2016, when she felt a little uncomfortable when doing the sitting meditation. Her body seemed to be tilting a little, but she did not pay much attention. She then felt pain in her right hip bone, which worsened at around 4:00 a.m. This was rather peculiar, as she had not fallen or had any swelling. As the pain was severe, and didn’t let up, mother kept crying.

When she remembered that she was a practitioner, mother asked Master for help.

“Master, please help me,” she said. “I am a Falun Dafa practitioner and I do not acknowledge any arrangement by the old forces.”

By early morning, one of my siblings came and took her to a doctor's office.

As they walked out the door, mother remembered that Master had said,

“But if severe interference like that happens while Dafa disciples are validating the Fa, then it must be dark minions or rotten demons persecuting us. Send righteous thoughts to eliminate them.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Meeting with Asia-Pacific Students” from Teaching the Fa at the Conference VI)

Thus, she sent forth righteous thoughts to negate the old forces' arrangements and asked Master for help. She also looked inward and realized that she had slacked off in her cultivation, and had attachments to fear, selfishness, and seeking comfort. She thus decided to improve her cultivation state.

After arriving at the clinic, the doctor diagnosed her with a bone fracture, and recommended that she check in to a hospital. At the hospital a doctor found that she was doing just fine and was healthier than most people. So she returned home without any treatment or medication.

Life Returns to Normal

As I live hundreds of miles away, I did not arrive until mother had already returned home. I sent righteous thoughts with my younger sister, who is also a practitioner.

We reminded mother of what Master had said, “I'm Li Hongzhi's disciple, I don't want other arrangements or acknowledge them” (Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference), and reminded her to remain clear-headed.

By evening, the pain had reduced significantly. She told us that she was a practitioner and would not go back to the hospital.

Several days passed and my mother's life returned to normal. However, she was constipated, which worried us. We tried to help her, and sent forth righteous thoughts, but nothing worked. Then, we resolved this problem and the entire family was relieved.

When we discussed the tribulation, we realized that we needed to remember that we are practitioners, and no matter what happens, we should look for our own attachments.
