Ms. Li was handing out Falun Gong information on the morning of June 22, 2016. She gave one to a police officer, who reported her. Local 610 Office agents and police officers went to her home, ransacked it, and arrested her that day.

She has been detained in the Hantai District Detention Center in Hanzhong City, Shannxi. The local 610 Office instructed the Gucheng County Court to make sure she was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.

Five Arrests and Five Terms in a Forced Labor Camp

After the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999, Ms. Li started to tell people about Falun Gong and how practicing it had improved her health. This led to her being arrested and sent to forced labor camps five times between 2001 and 2010.

Three of her five arrests have been reported on Minghui.org:- Arrested in June 2006, sent to a forced labor camp for 15 months- Arrested in 2008, sent to a forced labor camp for 18 months- Arrested in March 2009, sent to a forced labor camp

She was held in the Shaanxi Province Women's Forced Labor Camp at least twice, where she was tortured, confined in solitary cells, beaten, injected with unknown drugs, and forced to wear a tight vest. On December 31, 2006, she was beaten so badly that she lost consciousness.

In 2010, she was released on medical parole from the labor camp when she was on the verge of death. She recovered after resuming her practice of Falun Gong.
