(Minghui.org) Despite the 18-year persecution of the spiritual discipline by the Chinese Communist Party, Falun Gong practitioners have persisted in countering the regime’s propaganda and telling the public about Falun Gong. In the process, many police officers have become aware of their role in the persecution and chosen to stop participating in carrying out the persecution policy.

‘Please take a bus and go back home’

Two practitioners went to another town to raise awareness the persecution of Falun Gong. They were reported to the police, and three young officers arrived.

After the practitioners explained to the officers why they were there, one officer told them politely in front of the informer, “Please take a bus and go back home.” They then asked the informer, “Why are you treating them so badly? They are not killers!”

‘Don't tell anyone we let you go’

While seven practitioners were reading Falun Gong books, a group of policemen broke into the home. The practitioners were shocked and did not know how to react, except for one who stopped the officers from entering the room. The home contained equipment for printing Falun Gong materials.

The police started to search every room. One of them said, “All of them are seniors. No young men or women,” and left the house.

Some practitioners realized what was going on suggested that they leave as soon as possible. The policemen also left the house with the practitioners. One officer told a practitioner, “Don't tell anyone we let you go.”

Police Understand the Facts About Falun Gong

A relative of a practitioner went to a local police precinct and saw a well-worn Falun Gong journal on the desk. The relative asked the officer why he had such materials on his desk.

“The practitioners always have a way to reach us,” he said. “We refused to talk to them. Then, they called us. We refused to answer the phone, so they mailed the materials to us.”

A policeman who had never persecuted practitioners had learned about Falun Gong from a relative. Whenever he saw practitioners distributing informational materials, he simply walked away.

“I have a relative who practices,” he told another policeman. “Before he learned Falun Gong, he had a terrible temper. But after practicing Falun Gong, he changed. I remembered that during a new year, a thief stole his pork. If it were not for Falun Gong, he would have been furious. But he was very calm this time. I couldn't admire Falun Gong more.”

A practitioner was reported to police for delivering materials to someone. The practitioner was arrested and taken to the precinct. The commander demanded, “Someone reported that you were delivering Falun Gong materials. Give me the names of those who you provide with materials!” The practitioner refused to answer. After a while, the commander allowed the practitioner to leave.
