Falun Dafa Practitioners Are the Best People

July 14, 2017 |   By Chun Lai, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Liaoning Province, China

(Minghui.org) I was in poor health as a child. Not only did I suffer from many ailments, I was also very narrow-minded.

When I began to study Falun Dafa, I quickly accepted its principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and the idea of thinking of others first. Soon after I became a Falun Dafa practitioner, my many illnesses disappeared.

As a restaurant owner, I deal with my customers by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and they trust me. My suppliers know that if their calculations are wrong and I owe them money, I will always pay what I owe.

One of them told me that all the vendors, young and old, in the market knew that I was a good and honest person. I said, “This is because I practice Falun Dafa and it teaches me to think of others first.”

She is one of the vendors for whom I have made up the difference many times when she undercharged me. She commented, “I have been selling vegetables for many years. Few people reimburse me if I miscalculate in their favor. I am sure I make errors on their accounts as well. I have never met anybody as kind as you.”

I told her that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has killed 80 million people since it took power in China. She told me about her father who was persecuted and narrowly escaped death. She and her siblings endured a lot of hardship growing up as a result.

One vendor said I was the most genuine person he had ever met and that I always thought of the wellbeing of others first. He said, “My wife and I have never met anyone like you.”

Another vendor did not charge me enough for the vegetables I purchased from her. When I caught it and paid her what I owed, she was touched. She said, “Everyone says Falun Dafa practitioners are the best people and now I am convinced.”

My wife received a busload of customers from Baishan City, who had just returned from their trip to Hong Kong. After they left, my wife found a backpack. She contacted the tour guide immediately. They were able to locate the owner.

A few hours later, the owner of the backpack came to retrieve it. She was relieved and checked its contents. She was an English language instructor and had bought valuables in Hong Kong. She wanted to give my wife a $50.00 reward, but my wife declined.

She offered to have a banner made for her, but my wife declined that, too. In the end, she wrote a letter of gratitude to the local bureau of commerce and left us her phone number with an open invitation to visit her.
