Miracle in a Wheat Field

August 14, 2017 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) Here is a story that happened to my family on May 6, 2017. It was very hot that day, about 40 degree celsius (104 Fahrenheit). My wife took several people to harvest wheat in the field with a combine, while I dried wheat at home.

After an hour or two, the combine had a mechanical problem and the brake wouldn't work right. The driver climbed down to take a look. Just then, a spark from the engine ignited the field. Soon, there was a major fire. Everyone was stunned and did not know what to do.

The driver was experienced. He quickly ran to call the emergency number for firefighters. A short time later someone came with a fire extinguisher. But after they used it briefly, the powder was used up. There was no water source within several hundred yards, so someone yelled that we should dig a trench around the fire and fill it with water.

My wife ran home to tell me what was going on. I picked up a bucket to get water, but there was no water in the faucet (to save energy and water, tap water is only available during certain times of the day in some villages). Seeing no other water nearby, I poured two bowls of water from the kitchen into a bucket and rushed to the field.

Even from far away, I could see the heavy smoke in the wheat field. I thought it might be difficult to save my wheat, but with all the wheat fields connected, what if other people's wheat also caught fire?

Then I remembered that I am a Falun Gong practitioner, so I asked Master for help.

Arriving at the field, the bucket was only half full. It was about 2 p.m., the hottest time of the day. Fueled by the wind, the flames were more than 10 yards high. Standing about 7 yards from the fire, I only had one thought, “Only Master can help me.” I asked Master to help stop the fire for me and for the other farmers—I had already told some of them the facts about Falun Gong. Then holding my half-filled bucket of water in one hand, I poured it on the fire.

Miraculously, the fire stopped. The wheat field was wet, and smoke was everywhere. I knew Master had helped me and I was moved to tears.

We went closer to inspect what happened. The damage to our wheat was minimal. Engine oil had leaked out of the combine, but it did not burn. Ironically, the combine itself had melted into a metal ball due to the high temperature of the fire. Several people who stood next to me were shocked by the events. I told them that it was Master Li who saved me and talked to them about Falun Gong.

They were very interested after hearing me speak. “I trust you,” one of them said, “because I saw this with my own eyes today.”
