(Minghui.org) Every morning when I walk into the office, I first turn on the computer to play "Pudu" or "Jishi" Dafa music, letting the unlimited energy of Dafa from the gently-flowing music fill the entire workplace.
I start my day like this. The staff meetings, customer meetings, and handling of business are all bathed in Dafa. People are surrounded by positive energy. Bad ideas, words, and actions are unknowingly restrained, and people’s goodness is awakened. In this field, any excited emotions can be calmed down and all difficult problems can be resolved. I clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to people from different angles in various circumstances, and I use Dafa’s principles to correct their incorrect notions.
1. Master Corrected My Management Philosophy
In “Fa Teaching Given at the 2010 New York Fa Conference,” Master said,
“What company 'governs by doing nothing?' If you’re saying that the companies run by Dafa disciples are different, and can 'govern by doing nothing,' then I don’t believe you.”
Prior to this I believed that Dafa disciples should govern companies following the principle of “governing by doing nothing.” I had a simple management system. I basically managed people by sentimentality. As a result, some shop owners managed by our company followed the rules, while others expanded their site as much as they wished. Master's lecture really shocked me. Looking at my disorganized shopping mall, I felt my world in other dimensions might look like this. I knew this wasn't right and should be corrected!
It was easier said than done. It had been like this for a long time. My reforms immediately met with great resistance. I set up a group within the company to clean things up. The most often heard phrase was, “I have done this for years. Why it is suddenly no longer okay?” Some people took desperate measures. A person named ABao even said he called 110 [the emergency number] to report that I practiced Falun Gong, in order to prevent the reforms.
At first I felt a lot of pressure, and I felt these people were absolutely ridiculous. They were polluted by this big dye vat so much that they did not have any sense of conscience or morality. The only thing left was self-interest.
But Master wants us to learn through the management and operation experience. My job is in management and operations. I should walk this path properly, and not brush it off. So I cleaned myself up and changed my mindset. I had placed myself in the wrong position, complaining like an everyday person. Those people live at the lowest level of society, struggling simply to survive, and their nature has been distorted by society. The old forces arranged the decline of human morals. It was arranged for them to become people who could only see their own interests and their love and hate, but not the truth. I understand what Master said, “...the ones who are truly being persecuted are not Dafa disciples, but the world’s people." (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2010 New York Fa Conference”) Thinking of this, I felt sorry for them.
I said to myself, “Those shop owners are under your management. Is it a coincidence that you see them every day? They may be the sentient beings in your world! If you don't take care of them, will they be satisfied with you? Master said saving people is the first priority. Perhaps these people have suffered a lot waiting to be saved!” I forgot that saving people was my mission. I remembered in an experience sharing article that a practitioner who was in charge of taking care of a job site was disgusted with an individual who always came to ask for a shovel of cement for his personal use. One day he suddenly realized that the person had come to learn the truth. After hearing the truth of Falun Dafa, he never came back. Now I knew what to do.
I held several discussions and seminars in my office, and talked with each individual personally. With "Pudu" playing in the background, I explained the principle of conducting honorable commercial transactions and business activities, and how “the superior man who has breadth of character carries the outer world.” I talked with tolerance, generosity, compassion, and a peaceful state of mind cultivated in Dafa to awaken their buried Buddha natures. "Do this compassionately no matter who it is, and with a compassion that can melt steel you'll be able to do it well." (“Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference”) People changed from resisting in the beginning to speaking up positivity. They pointed out which shop had problems. In this righteous field, the shop owner who had a problem lowered his head.
At the same time I continued to improve myself, and constantly solved problems within the team. I tried to use my every action and word to reflect Dafa’s purity. Soon a complete management system with incentives and disincentives was set up. The shopping mall’s order was restored, and received unanimous support from the shop owners. ABao also came to me to apologize and said he did not make the call to report me. He said he would cooperate in the future.
The reforms fixed the problems in the mall. When Dafa disciples have thoughts that are in line with Dafa, these righteous thoughts assimilating to Dafa are very powerful. They can correct all incorrect states, and rectify the surrounding environment, the people, and all beings.
2. We Are the Best
When I straightened out the company, it was the time when different cities were being evaluated. The government sent people to monitor every company in-depth. At the same time they also sent people to monitor Dafa disciples in name of “preventing sabotage.” The authorities usually sent one person to each company, but they sent two people to our company. After they learned the truth about Falun Gong, they could see how every level in the company managed by a Dafa practitioner was coordinated well and that people combined their efforts to cooperate with them and help them complete their tasks with a high standard, whereas other companies often shifted responsibility and tried to make their work harder. So wherever they went, they said it would be great if every company was like ours. Meanwhile, our company has also been praised by the leaders at all levels, and the media has reported about us several times.
We use concrete actions to demonstrate that Falun Dafa is the most righteous and the best. We do not engage in any destructive activities, and we are validating Dafa and saving sentient beings using our actions.
3. Saving People Who Monitor Me
In the past ten-plus years of practicing Falun Gong, I know that people who have monitored me have changed at different times. Many close friends and superiors around me have changed. My state changed from tense and panic-stricken to treating them with righteous thoughts and Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance, to saving all people who can be saved.
Amin is the person I have expended the most effort to save. He has power and is in a high position. He has also benefited a lot from the first system. He did not listen to my truth clarification and put pressure on me. He made many false comments, and did not give me the opportunity to reply. I spent two years clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to him, but it didn't work. I had to do it step by step. I first showed him the goodness and beauty of Dafa practitioners. I then used Fa principles and some stories to change him slowly, such as “the superior man who has breadth of character carries the outer world,” “goodness will be rewarded and evil will be punished,” and so on. I gradually led him to accept correct concepts.
One day I spent half a day meeting with the leader of higher authority. Amin said, “You are such a good person, we really do not want to see something happen to you again. Now that you and your family are back to normal, you should not mingle with them (other Dafa practitioners). You can practice at home.”
I sent forth righteous thoughts and asked Master to help me. Master has talked about the principle that he would save even spies. I thought, “Regardless of your job and your intention, first of all, you are a person. You came into my field, so I'll save you, and I can save you. Our relationship is not one of monitoring and being monitored, but salvation and being saved.”
He also said, "You are such a good person, even if you didn't practice Falun Gong you would still be a good person. Don’t practice Falun Gong. Try yoga." I said, “I was polluted before I practiced Falun Gong. I practiced corruption. To be honest, who doesn't like money?! After practicing Falun Gong, I learned the principle 'no loss no gain'. I became a good person by following the standard of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance.” He said, “Truthfulness, benevolence, and beauty are Chinese traditional values.” I corrected him that it was Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. He said, “Right. You are right. Yes, it’s Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance.” He then said, “This practice is... but...” He could not remember what he wanted to say, “...just don't oppose the Communist Party.” I said, “Do you mean don't get involved in politics?” He quickly said, “Right, right.” I said, “Our Master has never allowed us to get involved in politics, such as the Taiwan election. The party and state are two different concepts. Participating in national competitions such as this one, we are praised, we are patriotic. Petitioning shows belief in the government. If the government is afraid of people speaking up, and also persecutes those petitioners, more and more people will collectively resist. You can't say they are all thugs. Confucius said, 'Silencing the people is more dangerous than damming a river.' If a party is not trusted by people, it will collapse by itself. No one needs to oppose it any longer. How many dynasties has China been through?!”
He said that he had seen the words "Falun Dafa is Good" everywhere overseas. “It is against the CCP.” I said, “People like me are persecuted. How many have been persecuted to death, and they have nowhere to appeal. News in China is controlled by the government. The foreign media reports the true situation.” I then talked about the CCP's Tiananmen Square self-immolation hoax and the joint statement made by lawyers who practice Falun Dafa to the State Council and the Ministry of Public Security. I felt the power of Dafa strengthening me, and my mind was clear and firm. The evil behind him was being eliminated. I felt the righteous gods were helping me in this workplace, and evil had nowhere to escape.
The energy of Dafa in the music “Pudu” covered this field, and he began listening to me wholeheartedly. My words were like flowing water, and directly reached his heart. I felt that our great Master was helping me and giving me wisdom. I could see he was convinced by righteous Fa principles. He continually replied “Right, right, right! This practice is really good! Really good!”
I know that when I am connected to the characteristics of the universe, Master helps me to fill the workplace with vitality.
