(Minghui.org) I was detained in a brainwashing class and my home was ransacked in 2004. After being released, I was fired from my job. My husband gave me 1,000 yuan a month to live on, starting my frugal life. Yet, nothing can stop me from being a diligent Falun Gong practitioner and doing the three things a practitioner should do.

Below, I wish to recount some of the interactions I've experienced clarifying the truth to people.

“How Did You Know My Name?”

A boy was sitting at the entrance to a market. I talked to him about Falun Gong and quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates. He agreed to quit the Youth League. When I suggested a pseudonym, he said, “How did you know my name?”

At another time I talked to a woman at a market and persuaded her to quit the Party. I suggested a name, and she was surprised, too: “This is unbelievable. That is my name!”

Retired Mayor: "Going Abroad Is an Eye-Opener"

I met an elderly man in the park. He was a former county mayor and had lived through many of the CCP's movements. He knew the Party was corrupt and gave some examples.

I told him the facts about Falun Gong and said, “The CCP has engaged in so many movements and killed countless people. It is incredibly corrupt. You should quit.” He agreed.

Retired Soldier: "I Will Help You Publicize Falun Gong"

I was clarifying the truth at the entrance of the market. A retired soldier stood next to me listening. He said, “I support you in practicing Falun Gong.”

I helped him withdraw from the Party. He said, “I will help you publicize Falun Gong wherever I go!”

Near Misses

During these years, I have also encountered some near misses but was able to succeed with righteous thoughts.

I was distributing Falun Gong materials when I felt someone pulling on my bag. I turned around and saw that it was someone from the 610 Office. I asked, “What are you doing?” He said that he wanted to know what I had inside my bag.

I was not afraid and said with confidence, “You want to take a look? Here, take it!” He waved me away and said, “I don't want to see it anymore. I'm leaving.” I know that my righteous thoughts disintegrated the evil.

My mother passed away before the 2008 Olympics and I went home to attend the funeral, carrying a bag of Falun Gong materials. When I went through the security check at the airport, they searched me carefully but no one else. I was sending forth righteous thoughts and feeling very confident.

They opened my handbag and checked the items inside one by one. They picked up my tissue pack, looked at it, and said, “No problem. You can go.” Actually, the tissue pack was filled with talismans, and anyone touching it would have known that it didn't hold tissues.

In July 2010, about six people from the 610 Office came to my house to harass and arrest me. I did not open the door and just talked about Falun Gong to them.

At that time, my house had been broken into not long before, so I said, “Isn't it the responsibility of the police to protect the safety of citizens? Our property has been stolen and nothing has been done about it yet. Why are you wasting so much manpower on persecuting Falun Gong?”

They were very arrogant, but I was not moved. They called my husband to come home and open the door, but he refused to. They stayed until almost 5 p.m. and then just left.
