(Minghui.org) The Czech Republic and the Netherlands are on the itineraries of many tourists who visit Europe because of the castles and other famous landmarks. Many people who visited the most popular sights in these two countries on August 8, 2015, encountered something special – information about Falun Dafa and the unprecedented persecution.

The Netherlands: Tourists Learn about Falun Dafa

Walking by the historic buildings on Nieuwmarkt Square in Amsterdam, many tourists were attracted by the peaceful music and the Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrating the exercises of their cultivation practice.

Tourists from around the world who visited this historic area also had an opportunity to view the practitioners' two photo displays: “Falun Dafa Around the World,” and “The Brutal Persecution of Falun Dafa in China by the Chinese Communist Party.”

The stark contrast between the two groups of photos made many people ask questions about this cultivation practice and why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes it.

After they listened to the practitioners, many signed a petition that calls for an end to the regime's crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Positive Support

A group of North African young people who reside in France were very supportive of the practitioners' signature collection drive and expressed their appreciation and respect to the practitioners.

The tourist site is near Chinatown in Amsterdam, and many Chinese people who passed by studied the photos and learned the truth about the persecution. Many of them took the informational materials.

Many Amsterdam locals expressed their concern over the persecution of Falun Dafa in China. A man said that he had business contacts with Chinese people, and often went to China on business, but he was unable to get accurate and independent news coverage on Falun Dafa.

“The Waag” (“weigh house”) is a 15th century building in Amsterdam. It has been a national heritage site since 1970 and is one of Amsterdam's oldest non-religious buildings.

The people who work in the building took a stack of informational materials about Falun Dafa and put them on the museum's reception desk.

The Czech Republic: A Meaningful Day

For many tourists who came to the Czech Republic to visit the beautiful Lednice Castle on August 8, 2015, it turned out to be a special day. They had a chance to participate in an effort to end the brutal persecution of Falun Dafa in China.

Tourists study the photos and sign a petition that calls for an end to the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Reading a flyer

Near Lednice Castle in South Moravia, the most popular tourist destination in the Czech Republic, Falun Dafa practitioners set up a booth to raise awareness of the brutal persecution of Falun Dafa in China and ask people to sign a petition to stop the Chinese Communist regime's crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Dafa practitioners.

The practitioners prepared three petitions calling for an end to the persecution. One will be presented to the Czech leaders, one to the Slovakia leaders, and one to the United Nations.

Many tourists who visited the castle had an opportunity to view a photo display and sign one of the petitions.

A tourist from Slovakia showed great interest in learning the Falun Dafa exercises. He said that he was searching for a meditation to help overcome stress. A practitioner suggested that he read Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Dafa, and learn the exercises. He expressed his appreciation and said that he would find out more about Falun Dafa online.

A social worker signed the petitions and said, “This persecution is unbelievably cruel. I hope I can help.”
