1. [Yi County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Mr. Liu Chunxiang, Ms. Zong Guiqin, and Ms. Shi Hongyan were arrested and taken to the Lianggang Town Police Station on November 10, 2016, for distributing Falun Gong informational desk calendars in the Lianggang Town farmers market. The three practitioners were taken to the Yi County Detention Center the following day for 10 days of detention. They were each forced to pay 1,000 yuan and were released on November 21.

2. [Yi County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Guimin Given a Three-Year Prison Term
Ms. Wu Guimin, 61, was given a three-year prison term by He Xiaojuan, deputy president of the No. 1 Criminal Tribunal, Yi County Court, on November 4, 2016.
Ms. Wu's family filed an appeal to He Xiaojuan on November 14, 2016.

3. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Liang Yuping, Ms. He Suzhi, Ms. Xu Tian'e, Ms. Guo Zhilin, Ms. Cai Jinhua, Ms. Tang Youfang, Mr. Chen and another male practitioner, from Zhuolu County, were arrested by officers from the Dapu Town Police Station on December 4, 2016 for going to the mountainous areas to deliver desk calendars and to talk to people about Falun Gong.
Five female practitioners were detained for 10 days in the Zhangjiakou Detention Center. Ms. Xu Tian'e was released that evening for health reasons. Two male practitioners were held in the Zhuolu County Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

Mr. Liu Qingyu from Dashiqiao City has been held in the Nantai Detention Center, Haicheng City, for over five months. His case was transferred to the Haicheng City Court on November 17, 2016.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Chen Yuqing in Coma Due to Torture
Ms. Chen Yuqing from Sijiqing Town, Haidian District, was arrested in 2015. She was released after becoming ill due to mistreatment. She was then constantly threatened and harassed over the phone by the Domestic Security Division's 610 Office, the police station, the Procuratorate and the court. Because of the intense pressure, Ms. Chen suffered a stroke at home on October 12, 2016. She was taken to the Armed Police General Hospital, where she underwent a cranial surgery. She is still in a coma.
8. [Yichun City, Jiangxi Province] 17 Practitioners Arrested
Many practitioners from Shanggao County were arrested by officers from the Aoyang Police Department in November 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. They were forced to sign paperwork, were fingerprinted and had their pictures taken.
At least seventeen practitioners were arrested, including: Mr. Xiong Sanlian, Mr. Xiong Qingnian, female practitioner Chunxiang, Ms. Zhao Qiaoying, Ms. Gao Yin'e, Mr. Luo Cong, Ms. Kuang Mei, Ms. Pan Zhengxiang, Ms. Lu Yunying, Ms. Zuo Hanxiu, Ms. Chen Jinlian, Ms. Xiong Qiugui, Ms. Li Chunxiang, Ms. Wen Tianlan, Ms. Wu Yan, Ms. Chen Qiufeng, and Ms. Xiong Huanxiu.
9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Lijun and Ms. Xia Meirong Sentenced to Prison; Original Verdict Upheld
Ms. Wang Lijun and Ms. Xia Meirong were tried by the Hanyang District Court on September 27, 2016. Ms. Xia was sentenced to five years in prison and Ms. Wang to four years. Both appealed, but the intermediate court rejected their appeal and upheld the original sentencing.

Ms. Yuan Yuqin was arrested at her home by officers from the Zhaoyuan City Domestic Security Division on December 5, 2016. She is held in the Zhaoyuan City Domestic Security Division.
11. [Luquan County, Yunnan Province] Ms. Zhang Jinxiu Arrested
Ms. Zhang Jinxiu was arrested at her relative’s home in Kunming City by officers from the Fengning Police Station on December 5, 2016. The officers ransacked the place and confiscated Falun Gong materials.
12. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Tao Lahuai and Ms. Guo Menglan from Macheng City were arrested by officers from the Qiting Police Station on December 5, 2016 for talking to people about Falun Gong in Qiting Town. Both practitioners are being held in the Macheng Detention Center.
Mr. Zhou Zongchuan, Mr. Jiang Zhengqing, and Mr. Jiang Zhengwang, from Tiemen Township, Macheng City were arrested at a Falun Dafa study site.
13. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ma Qinghua Detained
Mr. Ma Qinghua, an employee at the Mining Bureau General Hospital, was arrested at work by officers from the Jianshan Police Department on December 6, 2016. He was taken to the Yonghong Police Station, Jianshan District. Later, he was taken to the Shuangyashan City Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

Ms. Qu Shuxia and Ms. Jia Lianrong were arrested by Tan Yanshu and other officers from the Domestic Security Section, Fangzheng Forestry Bureau, on December 7, 2016, for passing out desk calendars. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books from Ms. Qu's home. Ms. Jia was released that evening. Ms. Qu was taken to the local hospital because she seemed to be ill.

Ms. Gu Li from Jinzhou District was arrested by officers from the Guangming Police Station, Jinzhou District on December 6, 2016, for telling people about Falun Gong.
