(Minghui.org) Cultivation is serious. If we have faith in Master and the Fa, miracles will happen. The following is the story of a blind practitioner in her 80s who regained her eyesight.
Ms. Guo Xiu (pseudonym) is in her 80s. A few days after she took up Dafa, the diseases she had for more than 20 years were gone. She could not be more grateful for Dafa and started to tell people how wonderful Falun Dafa is and to expose the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution.
Ms. Guo had practiced diligently and actively clarified the truth to people for more than ten years. She went to almost every household in her township. Many people were touched by her kindness and her story.
However, as time went by, Ms. Guo gradually slacked off in her cultivation and her health began to deteriorate. In July 2022, she could not see the words clearly while studying the Fa. She completely lost her eyesight five months later.
I tried to call her several times after I heard about this, but couldn’t get through. Once I dialed incorrectly and reached her daughter. She told me that her mother was diagnosed with glaucoma and the fundus of her eyes was totally ruptured. She was scheduled to have surgery three days later on February 16, 2023.
Knowing she could solve the problem through cultivation, I asked my son and daughter-in-law if I could bring Ms. Guo to our shared home. I hoped to study the Fa and do the exercises with her. They agreed.
I called Ms. Guo’s daughter again, “Can I bring your mother to my house for a few days?” She was hesitant because of the scheduled surgery.
I encouraged her, “Even if the surgery removed the tumor, it could return because the root cause was not removed. We all have to follow the laws of the universe, including birth, age, illness, and death. However, a practitioner follows the laws of a higher level which truly frees one of illness. If your mother can stay with us, study the Fa and improve her xinxing, she might regain her eyesight. Please let us try for a few days. If it doesn’t work, it won’t be too late to treat it medically.” She agreed.
A fellow practitioner and I went to Ms. Guo’s home. She was totally blind and couldn’t walk without help. We were sad to see her like this.
I told Ms. Guo, “If you look at this matter with the righteous thoughts befitting a practitioner, you will definitely be fine. With normal eyesight, we can continue to clarify the truth about Dafa. We will only follow Master’s arrangement. If we made mistakes in cultivation, we should sincerely confess to Master and correct ourselves.” She nodded.
We had group Fa study that night at my home. We read the book and shared experiences together. Ms. Guo looked inward and shared her thoughts.
After fellow practitioners left, I said to her, “How about we do the five exercises one more time and then send forth righteous thoughts before sleep?” She agreed. Considering her movements were not accurate, I kept the light on.
When we were doing the fourth exercise at about 11 p.m., she told me, “The movement of your left hand was off.” I was surprised, “Can you see me?” She said, “Very clearly!”
I cried out, “Amazing! Your eyesight has been restored! Master helped you! Let’s thank Master!”
The next day we watched the video of Master’s teachings in Guangzhou. A day later, on Wednesday (February 15, 2023), I brought Ms. Guo back to her daughter’s home.
Her daughter was waiting in front of her house and witnessed her mother getting off the bus by herself. She couldn’t help hugging me and cried, “That was incredible! Thank you so much! Please have dinner with us, and my brother has a gift for you.”
I told her, “You should thank our Master. It is Master who takes care of us. I cannot take the credit.”
Watching Ms. Guo and her daughter as I left them, I said from the bottom of my heart, “Thank you, Master!”
